Again, this all contributes to Florida’s confidence going into next year, but the biggest source of confidence comes from the clear improvements and steps forward that our offense made under Feleipe through the end of the season
Is this the same offense that essentially has an all new starting OL?

Going to have 3 new starters. Two returning starters. One of the returning starters was injured a couple of games into last season. The other started every game at Center
Our back ups include a former 4 star JUCO OL recruit and 7 former 4 star OL recruits. The redshirt freshmen and sophomore reserves from last year all got some good playing time and were formidable in blowouts over Idaho, FSU, and Michigan to close out garbage time.
And we’re potentially bringing in a two time all acc guard. We’ll be young and there’ll be growing pains early, but we’ll be well coached and improving and hitting our stride by the time October and November rolls around. Thanks for being worried about it though.

I imagine there’ll be no growing pains in Athens with a new OC, a new DC, your top tight end, running back, and few best wide receivers all leaving?
No troubles as the season goes along? I bet your response will look a little bit how my previous response looked.

It’s wild that Georgia fans are completely disregarding what Florida looked like from the second half of the South Carolina game through the Michigan beat down. Everybody sees it except for y’all.
You mean we are disregarding the impressive 4 point beatdown of a hapless South Carolina, the blasting of embarrassing Idaho and FSU squads, and the dismantling of a Michigan team that all but gave up after getting completely demoralized against Ohio State in the game prior to playing a 3 loss team in a non playoff game?

New OC was co OC last season, new DC will be Kirby+Lanning or Schumann, Holyfield was not our top back last year, Nauta was about as underused as OJ Howard was at Bama, and receiving group is going to be just fine without Ridley, Hardman, and Godwin.
We return our entire OL except our Center, a Junior QB who has won the SEC and been to a playoff (and never lost to florida), and a very experienced, stupidly talented defense.
We are going to be fine, only question is do we finally get over the Bama hump in year 4 for Kirby.

Ah yes, the Peach Bowl and Sugar Bowls don't matter of course.

I anticipate a good deal of growing pains in Athens..since we were 14 points better than our closest SECE competitor (Mizzou) and 19 points better than what to be next years next closest (UF)...I’m not sure it will matter. What I am sure of is that UF isn’t about to go on a 1990s style run in the east, that was after all how this thread started.

You guys REALLY believe this?
Kirby hasn't even been on the job 4 years and next
year's roster still won't have all his recruits.

that superior coaching
Yea that "superior coaching" couldn't even get you above .500 in division play.

Right, Mel Tucker is the head coach at a P5 school because he meant nothing. Chaney leaving will mean nothing. Nobody will miss a beat

Kirby’s still going to be there? Y’all are fricked

Want me to make you a diagram of postseason games players will sit out of versus games players will actually compete in to underscore my point?
Posted on 2/7/19 at 10:49 am to tylerdurden24
Yes, you already made your "point" about how y'all supposedly don't care about bowl games.

They don’t matter to many soon to be nfl players as evidenced by them sitting out. Maybe it’s because They don’t matter in regards to the division, conference, or national championships.

If all you can do is post an emoticon in response then I’m going to just assume you agree given the lack of a counter argument.
Tucker was certainly a good coach but I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that I’ve seen more UGA games than you to know that Kirby isn’t passively standing by while the defense is on the field. It’s his unit and the DC acts as an extension of him, no different than how Saban operates at Bama. Chaney was allowed to leave because the players were starting to turn on him and favored Coley. I’m usually not big on losing coordinators but literally nothing about terminology or scheme is changing on either side.
32-10 in 3 years with the East’s only SEC title the last 10 years and the conferences only other CFP appearance outside of Bama. What a scrub.

Y'all sure were singing a different tune about the Sugar Bowl before Texas won.

Why would you put point in quotations? Just because you don’t agree with it doesn’t make it untrue or misused.

Can we get the names of these guys?

Florida doesn’t also have a room for trophies and program accomplishments to show recruits? Doesn’t mean it matters a great deal to me or anyone else.
By the way, that’s an old pic of the old trophy room. May want to update your bookmarks.

In what way?
The sugar bowl didn’t matter to De’Andre baker before the game. He sat it out, just as the best Michigan players did.
The sugar bowl didn’t matter in regards to the division, conference, or national championships before the game either.

You're the one saying y'all supposedly don't care about bowl games. Yet you proudly display them in your beloved football complex.
