I am wondering if this might be the reason for the hire of Todd Golden as your basketball coach.
There is an article about Florida basketball coach, and I am wondering why the AD hired another Golden. Florida fans wanted the DC fired a couple of years ago. Now the AD decided to hire Todd Golden as the basketball coach. Maybe it was to stick a finger at the fans for complaining about the DC Golden for the football team?

Yes, that is the one. I am sorry about the name got mixed up. I got confused about Golden. Sorry might be reason you AD didn't like complainers and hired another so call coach.
Normally when hiring a coach in basketball it should have gone to the portal and play well enough to compete. Look at Gates. He did a great job with transfer portal. In his first year. Maybe next year will turn it around?

Yep, and where is Florida going to be in the Tourney? If it was football, I would allow it. Since it is only one game, and it didn't help Florida get into the tourney.
