93-96 mph fastball with movement away from lefties/into righties

Low to mid 80's slider with good location and sharp late downward movement

Okay change up, not quite Byrne/Kowar's, but a decent 3rd pitch to throw periodically

Calm demeanor, pitched effectively in big game in super regionals

Freshy, Not a regular starter, not a lot of innings, but he has the goods and seems to be coming in to his own.

Likely to be the #2 starter next year.

If so, let's hope it is World Baseball Classic Dyson and not MLB 2017 Dyson.

Negative. Or doesn't seem that way

Sam is from Tampa while Tyler's hometown is listed as Bradenton

ETA: Sam was on the 2010 SC championship team

His demeanor is what I like about the kid. He very rarely shows any emotion and doesn't seem to get flustered easily. This will be big tonight in that environment.

Bradenton is right outside of Tampa.

Wasn't aware. Either way, in Tyler's Florida bio it makes note of his cousin being drafted in the 90's. I figure if he and Sam were related, it would be noted.

Probably so. He never went past 2 innings until he had to after a rain delay with Wake when he went 5 innings, so hopefully we will get some good innings from him just not sure how many. Like Singer, he got smashed in the Arkansas game. Man that seems like a distant memory now.

The most he has gone before is 5 innings and that was once. Other than that, never more than 2 innings. So it's anyone's guess.

I hope he is related to Sam Dyson the way that guy has turned into a bum for the Rangers this year.
