I just have a pit in my stomach about this game. Not sure why, but I am worried. I shouldn't be worried because we matchup VERY well with Miami.

UF runs the ball really well, and Miami's front 7 is a joke.

UF has a tough time throwing down field, but Miami's CB's are young and not that good.

Miami throws the ball pretty well, but UF has a really good pass D.

Miami struggled running the ball last year against good defenses, and UF has a really good front 7.

The matchups are there for UF to win in a blowout, but something about this game just worries me. I say UF narrowly escapes with a W. By 3-6 points.

Actually, I also think having it at noon (again) might even play a role too. I think UF wins by a TD.

I'd like to see how well our D stuffs Duke Johnson, though. He'll be interesting to watch, but so will A. Morrison finally back in the lineup.

As a neutral observer, I think this is going to be a very good game. 20-17 Florida.

Duke Johnson does not scare me running the ball. Where I think he may hit some big plays is in the passing game. Our entire game plan needs to be around both our DE's spying him in the passing game, if he is in the backfield and always bringing 1 extra guy on passing downs. If he is in the slot, obviously that won't happen, but he worries me more when Miami is passing.

I am going to go ahead and warn you guys about this one...

Those expecting UF to win and pull away are in for a surprise.

Miami is ready for this game. They have more invested in it than UF. I know that is subjective and hard to say, but this one is circled as The Game the Canes have been waiting for to say they are "back". Former Canes players are lighting up the phones on the radio and with ticket requests. The old "U" players are going to be at this game in force and are around this week.

This is Miami's superbowl in Al Golden's third year.

Will the Gators have an offense this year?

The thing with Johnson (if you look at last year) is he only had a few good games.

Not sure if he was hurt but there were 5 games where he had less than 50 yards of rushing.

FSU, North Carolina, NC State, Notre Dame (lol) and Kansas State held him to less than 50 yards. Even adding in James they were held under 100 yards each game in Rushing.

Not saying we'll do the same but if we can contain him, it will be a pretty good day for UF.

If ANYTHING scares me more is letting Morris sit in the pocket and wait for those fast arse receivers to get open.

BTW, Miami was 1-4 in games where he was held to less than 50 yards.

Sure. It worked on LSU last year. Wore you down, scored two TD's in the second half.

That's pretty much our offensive philosophy. It worked pretty damn well last year.

No, we won't. We don't even have a football team, either.

Miami is ready but UF isn't? You don't think this game has been circled by UF? Weird. This will be like a neutral site game as well.

Not worried. Every decent defense they played last year stymied their offense. UF's defense is better than any D they faced last year.

Also, if we are Miami's superbowl then they are misguided. They haven't won the ACC since when????

I am telling you right now, greater emphasis has been put on this game by Miami than UF.

That is just the way it is. This is a statement game against a top SEC team that Miami has been looking forward to for a while.

Going to be some pretty mad alumni.

See, that's the thing here. Muschamp sees this game as the next opponent. Nothing special. Just someone else on the schedule to take care of then we move on to Tennessee.

If Golden is TRULY making this his "Superbowl" then he's an idiot of a coach.

If anything, the last "Super Bowl" Miami had they lost pretty badly. See Notre Dame last year.

FTR, the split will probably be 60/40 Gators.

Also, I do not have a dog in this fight at all. I will probably be pulling for the Gators in fact.

I just saw several posts of UF by 2 TD's, UF pulls away, etc.

This game is a total toss up. I'll take the 3 points and Miami if I play it.

Too funny.

Like I said. UF is there to take care of business. Not frick around with alumni or make this game any different than the rest.

He is not. But the local radio, fans, former players, etc are pointing to this one as a statement game and have been for a while. We will see how that turns out.

I am worried about our kicking game, or lack thereof. We need to convert in the redzone
