Too soon..the litmus test is 3 years.

Saban (2), Miles, Meyer (2) and Chizit all won the BCS NCG in year three or less in the last 8 years. Some teams will wait forever but the bench mark is set....3 years or B U S T.

I don't see anything wrong with jawing with the officials or chewing a player's arse out when he does something stupid. Look at Saban when he was yelling at McCarron, and McCarron was really doing nothing wrong. Then look at what Muschamp did to Bostic, after Bostic swung at Fluker. Different coaches have different personalities. I personally don't care what the personality is as long as our team looks like they're in the game and focused.

At some point, Muschamp and Weis had to make a decision on how much to convert the team in the first year. They moved several athletes out of the QB pool to make the changes they made and left themselves very vulnerable. Bigger coaching error than I think most poeple are realizing.

You think Burton and Reed are pro-style QBs then?

FIFY - has lost 1 game the #1 or #2 team in the country.

I guess they should have asked more educated people, such as yourself, what they should do.

The bottom line is, neither Burton or Reed are pro style QB's. Charlie Weis runs a variation of a Pro Style offense. They weren't good fits, so they moved to positions they could still be productive in.

Short term, I agree. Losing JB emptied our exp at the QB position. It won't be easy moving forward with a true Fr at QB.

In the long run, it will set us up in a far better position for next year. Driskel, now, will get more than just mop up duty and practice. He is getting actual game time vs the best teams in CFB (LSU and Bama) and depending on how long Brantley is out, might see PT as far out as FSU. He can get the jitters out now, while the entire team is rebuilding, and come back next year even better.

The current HC/OC had nothing to do with the signing of Burton. Is that you're question?

For your sake, just hope it doesn't destroy him like many LSU fans think a similar scenario destroyed Jarrett Lee.

Correct. I didn't know you understood that.

Burton was not so much of a miss as much as he was a gap filler. We weren't going to get a 5* QB that year. They knew Burton was a good athlete and he would be a player somewhere. Heck, he was even going to play S at some point.

I wouldn't call him a miss but that's just my opinion. Reed was a miss at the QB position more than Burton.

When Tebow left, Meyer did a pitiful job of replacing his power run game and Muschamp still does not have linemen or HB's who can wear you down. Give him time with Weis and Florida will be just as dominant as LSU and Alabama.

You and Cyde have made getting handed our asses a bit better this week by at least being fair about why and how exactly said arse was served up. I appreciate that.

Hell no I don't have buyers remorse. Muschamp may be a little over the top at times, but hell, we need it after last year. We aren't ready to run at the top just yet, but everyone from the team to the fans seems motivated again. Lest anyone forget, we lost to Moo U at HOMECOMING last year, and they scored all of ten points. It was a season of face palming pretty much from that point on with beating UGA being one of the only bright spots.

We actually look like we know what the hell we are doing this year when we aren't being totally out-manned as we were with Bama. As much as I want to be a hater, Bama is just flat damned amazing this year. Watching their run game in person last Saturday was like watching an artistic masterpiece. We had a snowball's chance, and even that melted when Brantley went down. I'm not hanging that loss on bad coaching.

There is actually some fire in the program this year. Last year there seemed to be none. If the worst problem we have at the moment is Muschamp losing his shite at a ref a couple of times a game, then we are light years ahead of where we were this time last year.

Not worried at all huh?

Love the lack of discipline being shown. Also, how about when someone had to hold the ball for a kickoff, and all 10 Fla players (not including kicker) looked around like WTF? Then the guy picked to do it lined up on wrong side of the kicker. That was some funny shite.

At least we were able to do it with out getting flagged.

Able to do what? Look completely clueless in a situation that we see happen every football season.

The lack of discipline is clear with the absurd defensive offsides on back to back plays.

The punt coverage on Wing's run was classic too. Looks like a well coached team to me.

Have a player hold the ball for the kicker, did you forget your own statement?

One of those calls could have gone either way.

Flat out blown coverage. There was no excuse. I'm just glad he decided to brag about it before crossing the goal line and our D was able to hold it to 3.
