[quote]My brother lives in Okeechobee in a manufactured house. He's disabled and they can't really travel. His inlaws live a couple of streets over, in a more stable home, but this is looking bad in their area. [/qu

Does the state not have a contingency plan for "special needs" folks?

Prayers for your brother and family.

Right decision. Players don't need to be traveling/playing with such a monster inbound. Good luck boys, I'll be rooting for a safe week!

I have no idea. His health is very poor, he's on oxygen, and I hope they are prepared with what he needs in case their home is destroyed or all of their possessions are swept away. My sister in laws family all live within about 2 miles of each other there, so they will all get together in one house I think.

They are right at the top of the lake, so I wonder what that is going to do. Ugh.

I have a little experience with this, and he really should contact the state's office that handles issues for people with disabilities. Please urge them to do it.

They may help him evacuate-he should be a priority because he's on oxygen. He needs to be in a place that has a generator.

LSU fans forget we lost TWO fricking home games last year and had to pay off Presbyterian because we couldn't play them and instead went to red stick

Because of mismanagement of game preparations on their part so wah.

That said, get the hell out of Dodge now or hunker down and stay safe.

Currently my unit is in South Florida assisting with Hurricane Operations. We will hunker down tonight and hope this bitch moves on quickly so we can get out and start assessing the situation. If anyone hasn't left the keys or Miami yet, GTFO now. Currently at Miami Northwestern High right now and funny this is where Amari Cooper went. Stay safe everyone.

They might not make a bowl without this game being played.

Wise decision this time, no question about it. This is not like last year at all. This is the real deal

I did ask him to check, but not sure he will. And he also does dialysis, which I'm also worried about, because if his dailysis clinic is offline for several days, that is going to be a major concern.

There was actually thunderstorms and lightning over the stadium for more than 2 hours that night unlike the partly cloudy skies with a 5 mph wind last year when we were supposed to play your injured team
