What about this years recruits on the o-line? See a trend?

The SEC is a LOS league

What about them? One is rated way lower on 247 than on rivals, and the other is an underrated prospect. We missed on Braun, but are in good shape to flip Issiah Walker and are still after Dumerville. And we’ll take Richard Leonard too, but he’s just a 3 star. We’re going to be fine on the OL. Take a look at Mullen and Hevesy’s track record.

It’s a blessing in disguise because Grier was covering up a lot of Mac’s deficiencies.

Yeah. You are probably better that McIlwaine was booted when he was. Mullen is better than him. MUCH better. Not sure he will ever be in Meyer or Spurrier's class (Who is?) but he will get you headed in the right direction.

And outside of the first half of the Ole Miss game, Grier didn't set the world on fire here.

I knew he had not, but he was really young while at Flordia, wasn't he?

Of course there is no telling if McIwaine could have developed him. It's amazing how good he got at WV. But was it his development, or the system?

With QB's it is always hard to tell.

Good for him. Hopefully he will have earned a lesson and get straightened out. Hopefully this is his wake up call. Some kids just need it to get them to understand that they will be treated like adults, but they have to grow up and act like adults.

I know you guys are happy to get some good news for a change.

No question. I think Mullen’s floor at UF is 9-3. Now, the question is how high can his ceiling be? The way we’ve recruited and from what we’ve seen of Mullen’s ability to coach, I think 10-2 yearly (splitting UGA and LSU, then losing a game we shouldn’t) is reasonable- most teams outside of Clemson and Alabama don’t proclaim “we’re going undefeated” every year and sound reasonable.

I think that under Mullen we can be in the hunt on a yearly basis, and be the favorites when we have “the guy” at quarterback. I don’t *think* that Feleipe is the guy. I think he’s good enough to win us every game on our schedule, but I don’t know if he has the greatness to lead us to a championship. I think when Mullen finds his quarterback that does have that, that is when we will win a championship. And Mullen is capable of finding that guy and coaching the team up. I don’t know if Emory is that guy, or Anthony Richardson or someone beyond. That’s my honest thoughts on Mullen though. Maybe they’re delusional, who really knows

That's a boom and a boom! I don't know why, but it seems like programs go through q month or two of horrible news, then all of a sudden things straighten out and get better.

True. I mean, a lot of people on here like to point out that he didn't really do a lot at MState, but Florida is not MState. He should have better players available. He really needs to kick it into high gear recruiting wise, though. if he can do that there may not be a ceiling.

He improved a lot last year. I could tell a difference. He seems to panic when pressured, though. Your Oline will have to gell fast. If they can you will have a good year. Playing LSU every year is tough....like us playing Auburn.

Okay. You guys have had your chance. I stuck around long enough for you to harass me, and you decided not to. In return, I am going to try not to come back to this thread again. I'm not a fan of these type threads as a whole, but I have to admit it was fun...but it's run it's course for me.

Time to go. Y'all have a good evening and a great week-end!

Looks like Mullen is learning...when a rival has a bad news cycle pour on the good news for your program.

FYI I won’t update the thread with your commit though...I have to keep this threads core competency of BAD Florida news.

You are wrong about Franks Atl . He will be more poised this year and he knows the playbook very well. He isn't going to have gaudy numbers because Mullen knows you have to run the ball well in the SEC to win. With our WRs he will hit some bombs with arm strength.

No one will be putting Franks down this year. He will be a junior this year and at 6'6" he will be coveted by the pros.

As for Mullen, its quite clear that he wants to win and win championships....its coming. We are 2-2 against the dawgs the past four years, 2-1 against LSU the past 3 games.
