Why do I have to do the research for you? Read up on it. Not hard to find articles on the future impact of NIL & portal. Indiana ring a bell?
I’ve never once said the power schools of the past are not going to continue to have success. My point is, other schools will emerge. And have the ability to compete at a high level due to NIL & portal.
It’s all about which schools are able to raise the most money into their NIL funds & then acquire the right players.
Not sure why you are in denial. You live under a rock? Explain to me what is “nonsensical“ about the changes happening in college football right now?
Your denial is nonsensical.

quote:this is true and we’ll see how these changes impact the game in coming years. I do think it’s worth noting that the teams that can buy highly ranked hs classes probably can put together big budgets for the portal too, so while the portal might be able to give an edge to traditionally bad programs like Indiana to improve them quickly it might be hard for those programs to really run the gauntlet in January against teams like ohio state and Notre dame etc (both who dog walked Indiana last year and Indiana was damn good then too).
How long has there been a transfer portal & NIL?! Small sample size.
Parity will allow new teams to improve but until we see it happen in the advance stages of the season, so far the top hs recruiting teams are still winning the titles

I can't find any articles that say some schools cheated and others didn't and now NIL means teams like Mizzou will win natties.

Indiana isn't really any more talented than they were ten years ago, they just have a good coach finally and an easy schedule.

How is that any different from the past? Schools have been "emerging and competing" forever.

More deflections, no actual evidence of these "changes".

So you’re saying that traditional “Blue Bloods” didn’t cheat (A LOT) to get ahead of the game? Everybody knows it’s true so why do you need an article to prove that. It’s common sense! You’re a diehard LSU fan. I know it’s insulting when people state facts about the big time cheats of the past. Is what it is.
The articles I’m referring to are easy to find. Go to Google and type in “how NIL is changing CFB’. CFB is just seeing NIL & portal impacts. It’s VERY early. I don’t think you seem to understand the epic nature of these changes. Programs and coaches have had to completely shift their thought process with regards to recruiting and building teams. Again, this is common sense and the information is out there if you use a simple search engine.
So you’re saying Indiana is not more talented than they used to be? You are not smart. You do not watch much football.
This is like arguing politics. Some people just don’t grasp reality.

Meanwhile, the power programs will continue winning natties and you will be forced to explain it away.
Non powers have always had good seasons. For some reason, simpletons like yourself now see that as evidence of some massive change because of NIL/portal.

You are not smart!
I have never said traditional powers will not be competing any longer. I said more non-traditional powers, especially power 5 schools will be in the mix. More so than pre-NIL/portal. You are clinging to this unending desire for things to be the same as the past.
And lastly, I’ve said over & overthe changes are happening, the parity is going to be more so the norm.
Just let it play out over a long period of time. Assuming no change to the current system, there will be changes. Bank on it!

Mizery defense was solid. Offense just needs a signal caller who’s more accurate and speedier running the ball . Mizery offensive line did okay vs OU but over the 2nd half they really wore down . Needs more big OL to plow running game. .

Says the simpleton who thinks things that have always happened are the result of NIL/portal.

Mizzou’s O-line is bad & has been for weeks.
OU & Mizzou have the same issues. Putrid offense, solid D. OU’s offense was just less putrid last Saturday but not by much.
