I totally don't blame you for refusing to watch UG lose to Bama every year...

It's weird. Someone has made this comment during or about every Bama game for the last 10 years, but somehow it keeps being said.

Alabama would have lost anyway, but damn the penalty wiped out a hell of touchdown grab by Ryan Williams.

Sus was the timing of him calling it unless he waited until a pass was touched.
While Bama was self destructing, this would have put the game back into reasonable range plus it was an amazing catch.
Bama had 70 yards rushing and zero from Milroe?

When you are no longer relevant, you don’t have all of the calls go your way.
You need to accept that you’re no longer relevant. Then, the call makes sense.

guess after ou fans studied pictures for a whole day it was the right call. Really looking out for bama mistakes but not looking at about 5 face masks on Milroe. So basically just unfortunate situation for bama.
Your offensive line holds on every single play, with no calls, and you want to start this???

It was an illegal formation…..
Jeez. How many more times to I have to keep posting the quote and link to the rulebook?
The ONLY rules governing whether or not it is an illegal formation are (a) five players numbered 50-79, and (b) no more than 4 players in the backfield.
Here's my question...why is it that multiple Oklahoma fans seem to be so fricking clueless about a pretty basic rule of college football?
And by there way...there absolutely were 7 on the LOS.
There is absolutely nothing illegal about this formation. And no, the fact that the LT is on the left end of the line is irrelevant. There are only 4 in the backfield, and there 5 players numbered 50-79.

If you say it is 7 on the LOS then the wide right WR does cover up Williams since you need the wide right WR to get to 7 on the LOS
Jesus. Look at the fricking photo. There are 7 on the line. The LT is on the left end and Williams is on the right. As has been pointed out, the TE on the right is the one that is covered, but he stayed in to block..
Why is it that only Oklahoma fans seem to be so clueless about this very basic rule of college football?

I guess I could complain about the lack of holding calls on our defensive ends all night, but they still sacked Milroe 9 times.
Was it a bad call? Sure. Would it have mattered? Absolutely not.

this really hurt Bama's chance to lose by single digits for the first time in Norman

Using still photos to make a point of live game action is the epitome of stacking the deck. It reminds me of the long angle shoreline photos the media used during covid to show "crowded" beaches.
Those calls may have all been missed, but a stop action photo does nothing to prove that.
Oh, and enjoy those crowded Florida beaches in Janurary!

Was a blown call, but not entirely sure why. Probably more incompetence than intent, but something that egregious should be correctable. If only we had instant views from multiple angles to determine if the call was correct...
