Pretty sure that's not how that works.

This thing could miss Florida entirely too. Too many times have they predicted these things to hit and a lot of times they never do. Better safe than sorry, I get it, but I don't think a decision should be made until late Wednesday/early Thursday.

Apparently there is a second storm developing? Will have to keep an eye out for this one as well.

That second storm is not even a factor. The latest update from NOAA has the storm moving further away from Gainesville and picking up speed. You all freak out wayyyyyyyyy too far in advance. I know you LSU fans want this game at home, but damn.

Why we talking about LSU-FL?

Because Hurricane Boom already hit Columbia?

Ehh.... I think Gainesville will be fine-- but I wouldn't want to own property between Miami and Daytona right now.

If this misses the coast by 60+ miles, there won't be that much damage. The damage would be maybe the equivalent of a tropical storm between Miami and Daytona, but that's it. It wouldn't effect Gainesville much at all. The worst part of the storm is always EAST of the eye.

Which is when they'll do it. I'm sure they'll err on the side of caution so I don't see how this game DOESN'T end up in Baton Rouge.

From my source from the Florida athletic department: "The storm hasn't even been discussed yet and won't be until tomorrow. The most likely scenario is the game stays in Gainesville."

So they are just ignoring it?

Not ignoring it. It's probably been talked about in passing, but no need to use all the resources to make a decision just yet... As this thing gets closer, it'll be a little more predictable and they'll make an educated decision.

I understand that, but your post makes it look like they don't even know the damn thing is out there, while we know good and well that it's all they are talking about right now

I disagree. I'm willing to bet it's being discussed. You have to make a decision on it soon. You can't wait till Friday and decide to move it. I gurantee lsu uf and the sec are in contact regarding the issue.

Maybe Mother Nature's wrath should hit Starkvegas where it would make about $2billion in improvements.

At noon today, there will be a conference call with all #LSU + Florida parties, concerning football game, per Charles Hanagriff.

Ah, that's always the best way to handle significant storms.

I think all that inland Florida is going to get is wind and rain, not significant rain. But if Florida is in a state of emergency (and they're going to declare one), then they may not want to host the game. This is a bigger issue for South Carolina if the west track verifies.
