Once it's done it will look better than ours. Going to catch a lot of hell from my fellow Ole Miss fans for this. If we don't renovate our facade then yes, DWS will be nicer than VHS until we expand. Once we hit 100 mil we will start construction on the basketball arena and will begin to develop plans for renovating VHS. That should occur next summer. Once we hit 115 mil, we will begin renovating VHS, which should happen Jan. 2014. So both schools should have a newly renovated horse shoe stadium in 2014. Once we hit 150 mil we will begin bowling in our endzone. Which should be the summer of 2014 and should be ready for the start of the 2016 season. So for two years, state should have a bigger stadium. Depending on how renovations they may have a nicer stadium as well, but we wont know until those plans are revealed
Ole Miss better start winning some games becuase it looked like a ghost town in VHS sometimes last year. This year they are having prize drawing trying to get people to buy tickets.

We've already raised about 60 mil or so in one year, and that was with Pete Boone's inept arse running the show. I bet Bjork has us at 150 mil by Christmas 2013.
You need $50+ mil in philanthropic giving to forward together. In that regard, you only got about $5 mil in yr 1. Will need that part to pick up substantially to meet your goals...
The multi-year CGA's shouldn't be mistaken for available funds either. That $60 mil is actually $15 mil raised(with the agreement of another $15 mil each yr for the next 4 yrs)...
Of course, I was discussing this with a good buddy last night(scholarship club booster for OM) and he expects OM to modify the campaign to accept $40-50 mil in bonds in order to fast track the arena...

They're also selling naming rights and advertising space.
It's going to come sooner rather than later.

We have raised 64 mil without using the 20 mil that will come from naming rights and 30 mil from CGA's from the NEZ. Those two entities are easy money. The hard part is the remaining 36 mil in philanthropies. From what I've been told we have a few 1 mil donations already lined up but want to space them out so they get the proper appreciation. If we can get to 80 mil by the January we will be on target.

Once my $40M check clears we'll be on the home stretch.

Yeah, his timeline seems really optimistic at best. Hell, I've barely seen or even read anything concrete on OM expansion.

I think he is calling what we have now a newly renovated horseshoe. and yalls should be complete by then so I think thats what he is talking about. We are bowling ours in a year or two after 14 I think

I was in StarkVegas to watch Matt Jones run all over y'alls team. The campus was alright but that was when all the expansion on campus and stadium had started. I've heard it's much improved which I thought it wasn't a bad place to begin with but certainly no Fayetteville or Athens.
I have friends' younger sisters and cousins from Memphis heading to state instead of Ole Miss which was unheard of when I was at Arkansas. Heck, half of eastern Arkansas went to Ole Miss back then. However, Fayetteville has improved drastically in a decade and it sounds the same for MSU.
Your stadium will now be nicer and bigger than Ole Miss. I honestly did not think it would happen this fast or at all. MSU Admin has done a fantastic job with such a small budget.

I probably wouldn't take it. We will begin construction on our basketball arena this time next year. Once that happens the plan is also to begin plans on renovating VHS. Depending on how long the plans take and the actual construction, I'm not sure we would have it done by the start of the 2014 season, but I would be willing to bet that construction on renovating VHS will he in effect by 2014

It certainly seems like there will be an arms race happening between these two schools.

No. In the original plans we are suppose to renovate the concourse areas and other parts of the stadium the same time as constructing the basketball arena. Now those were Boone and White's plans.. Both are gone now. While Bjork said he likes our FTR plans he also said they will be tweaked and he has followed his word on that with the IPF plans come December. I have no idea what our renovation of VHS will include so I can't accurately give a timeframe of when it will be complete but we will be renovating VHS in 2014 and more than likely late 2013

Bama and vandy just expanded.. USCe, LSU, arky, A&M, and Mizzo all have expansion plans in place... UT just renovated their entire stadium and is in the process of building the best football facility in the country, while Auburn just built an IPF. Everyone is improving. That's the SEC
