Whoa throwing around those big words. "Arkansas is a better program..." Simply put, no dude. They're not and they haven't been for quite some time. It's mediocre like every other program in the SEC outside of Kentucky and I guess we can throw in the cheaters in Tenn. Other than that, lot of uncertainty continues in the SEC as far as basketball programs go.

Sorry, but I think we can do better the Pelphrey.
If you think that is delusional, well, I do not care, frick off.

I think so too. Because he's been terrible so anything is basically better than him. Someone else would constitute better in this case, so it really has nothing to do with your program.

because you choose a timeframe that picks up right after Arkansas won the national championship (btw, has MSU done that since Arkansas has joined the SEC?).

Today, November 26th, 2010- it's not...we have been better on the court than you guys for the last 15 years-
That is a helluva long time. 15 years. Your program was very good in the 1980's and early 90's- but it's very mediocre now. 1994 doesnt matter anymore. Hell, you might as well brag about something from 1978 too while you are at it.
The last 10 years, UPig has no conference titles and 4 NCAA Tourney appearances. To say your program is better than ours right now is ignorant.
And yes, you guys have a good recruiting class coming in- so does State. Rivals has UPig 5th and State 14th right now- we are still recruiting too.

The guys we have coming in have played on the same AAU team that has won 4 straight national titles. They're being called "The Triplets 2.0"
The problem has been Nolan was on the back end of his career, and Arkansas has not found a solid replacement. If Jeff Long would have simply said 'yes' last March, Mike Anderson would be the Arkansas Head Basketball Coach right now.
Also, this UPig shite is stupid. I know you're Vince Lombardi and all, but its stupid.

I have no doubt they will be good players. And I also think Pelphrey can coach them. Pelphrey has been hampered by cleaning up Heath's mess, injuries, and suspensions from discipline problems.
I'm completely serious when I say I think you guys will be better off giving him 3 more years to get it done- this season and then 2 with his recruiting class.
Rob Evans is also a really good defensive coach. You guys have a good staff. UPig needs stability more than anything.
All I was arguing was the better program comment. I think your potential is higher, but currently we have the better program.

where was Fortson the first 12-13 games last season? He wasnt on the court. What about Sanchez? You guys have 4 or 5 guys that missed games with injuries and suspensions last year.
What about losing Beverly in 2009 for flunking out or whatever? He was going to be your best player, especially when you guys had one of the youngest teams in D-1 basketball in 2009
To say your program has been stable is idiotic

Not half as idiotic as stating that any of Pel's problems were not of his own making.
Mike Washington's eligibility ran out last year, Sanchez who hasn't been healthy for a full season since his 7th grade year is coming off yet another injury so why sign a big? Won't be needed.

You probably also believed Steve Kragthorpes excuses about why he couldn't win at Louisville too.

Anderson is still off limits!

All I know is:
season 1- Pelphrey had a bunch of undisciplined idiots thanks to Stan Heath led by Gary Ervin- whom State ran off.I know personally how bad Ervin can be.
season 2- thanks to Beverly flunking out, you guys were something like 320th out of 335 youngest teams in the nation- who replaces all 5 starters and does well the next season?
season 3- your best player and PG misses the first half of the season- lots of suspensions, injuries, a rape or sexual assault allegation...is that what you call stable? Did Pelphrey tell Fortson to be an idiot?
and in spite of all that, Pelphrey has now pulled in a top 5 recruiting class. As I keep saying, there are more problems than coaching in the UPig program.

if arkansas's program is down....the SEC west is a pitiful basketball league.....sure were going on 15 years of mediocrity but in those 15 States only accomplishments have been in the SEC west and in the SEC tourney when kentucky has been on probation.......State is at best the third best basketball program in the SEc and it probably isn't even that good.

Damn, you think have ALL the inside scoop. When is Cam Newton getting suspended again? Well, i know for a fact the worst of the problems were Fortson who is a druggie, and Michael Washington who was faking an injury all season saving himself for the NBA thinking he was going to be a 1st rounder. All the other players are all clean.

a rape or sexual assault allegation
About as bogus as the Duke Lacrosse players case. The bitch changed her story 10 times.
Fortson was not our best player last year also. Marshawn Powell, the 2nd team Freshman All American was.

to answer you:
yes UPig is down
yes the SEC West is a pitiful basketball league
and yes, State has completely failed at taking better advantage of all that. No excuses at all for us to not have at least one Sweet 16 the last 10 years.
I'd say right now- State is the 5th best program-behind Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, and Vandy...Hell, Vandy has 2 or 3 Sweet 16's in the last 5-6 years
The West definitely needs to get better

All I know is that CoonAss Bulldog just whipped the ever more shite out of Arkansas fans in every part of that debate. Anybody that thinks different is either a blinded ark. fan or pure ignorant. Well done Coach or Coonass

Yeah. Miss State is f'ing amazing. They won the damn SEC WEST! HOLY shite! HOW DO I BECOME A FAN???
BS. Miss State has been to the NCAA tourny 8 times. Arkansas- 24 times. Miss state has been to the Final Four ONCE. Arkansas- 6 times.
15 years aren't enought to overcome that kind of domination. When Miss State actually does something other than excel in the pathetic SECW, then talk to me.

and this post is why people make so much fun of you chickenfrickers
The appropriate response should be- "well, you're right. It sux that we have fallen to the point that Mississippi State has a better program than we do cuurently. But hopefully things will get turned around with this signing class coming in, and we can bring the program back to our standards set long ago."
Instead, you're just a dumbass. And now I will continue to enjoy spanking your arse again this season as we normally do and have you guys looking up at us in the SEC.
