No offense Hawg but your offense may have 8 minutes TOP. How do y'all plan on stopping Bama's running game?
will not have to have many touches and when they are starting inside the 20 on every position it will be hard for them to sustain that running game.

we have some new and improved kickers who will be kicking it in the endzone on every kick off. No more shanks and starting inside the 40 or 50.

ok.....but to stop the running game.....you have to actually STOP......THE.......RUN.
That's something Arkansas hasn't shown that they can do.

No... Our Run D was actually fair last year. The only teams that ran on us were OM and Bama. Auburn will try to claim they did but yards alone do not a great run game make. Example being 2006 Capital one bowl.

What makes you think y'all will be able to control our running game this year? Our Heisman winner returns along with a more experienced, very talented Richardson and don't sleep on Eddie Lacy.
I'm not saying it'll be the same result as last year. I'm just saying that our running game will be even more explosive so it'll be alot tougher to stop us this year.
BTW, I think we lose 1-2 this year.

Sept. 25: at Arkansas -- This game will receive plenty of hype, too. But what makes some nervous about going with Bobby Petrino over Nick Saban are the numbers from the two last years: Alabama 84-21. Still, the Hogs should be very good. ... Alabama 35-27.
Oct. 2: Florida -- Prime-time CBS. The eyes of college football will be on Bryant-Denny Stadium. It doesn't get much bigger than this. Both teams figure to meet again in the SEC title game and this one could go down to the wire. ... Alabama 24-23.
Oct. 9: at South Carolina -- If you're looking for a spot on the schedule where Alabama could be running on empty, this would be as smart a play as any. The Tide will be coming off a physical game against Florida, while the Gamecocks will be enjoying an open date. ... Alabama 17-13.
Bama will lose at least 1 of these three. Arky will be a tough road game Bama better not look past, but might. UF game will be tough, then a possible let down against a very good SC team.
Then I think LSU beats Bama in TS.
I am going with 2 losses for Bama next year going into the IB which Bama should win.

I can see that, especially with the youth in the secondary...

They should. All Bama has to do is show up and it will be a "walk-in-the-park" for them.

Nick Saban and the Tide do not show up for games with attitudes like that. I can't wait for the Arkansas game. I love seeing a talented QB get frustrated because he just doesn't have time to complete anything other than dink passes and has no threat of a running game to help him out. Bama will hold the ball for almost 10 minutes in the fourth and your guys will be laying on the field like most of the corndog defense did.

This Alabama team will be better than last years team. This team is loaded like no Alabama team since the 70's. Alabama only returns 2 starters on defense yet will have a better defense than last year. The offense returns virtually intact.

thanks to hawgalude I hope it isnt to Ark. His head is swollen enough right now and they havent done anything. Auburn, LSU, SC are the games that scare me the most and in that order.

When did Finebaum start writing for the Bleacher Report?

I can see anything from 10-2 to 12-0 for Bama
I think they can lose 2/3 of @ Arky, UF, and @ LSU

my Dad worked for The Shreveport Times way back. Anyway, Finebaum got his start in S'port, at the crosstown paper The Shreveport Journal, which i believe at the time was an afternoon paper.
The story goes that Finebaum started off in the sports dept.,and was moved shortly thereafter to the news dept. he was soon after fired for submitting a fiction piece as a "news" story.
for better or worse, that guy has come a long way since the early 80's, give him that.

Arkansas stopped the run last year against Bama, except for the Trent Richardson TD run. McElroy torched them for 291 yards and 3 TDs though haha.

Wow. I just read the article and this guy is some kind of crazy. Alabama is too young on D, the opposition is too good, and the streak has to run out sometime.

Predictions are meaningless ... especially this one.
