The committee saw that and was not deterred by it enough to place Alabama well out of range of benefiting from chaos above them.
If it were me, I'd count punt a team into the high teens after that display but they didn't. So here we are...Ole Miss probably would've been above Alabama this week if they could've lost to Florida earlier in the year but had the same record. That's how this stupid shite is going to work and has always worked.

would probably be the right thing to do, and this is also exactly why a 12 team playoff where you take a vote as to who should get in is stupid. If you want an NFL playoff system, set your league up like the NFL with divisions. Don't let a committee basically use subjective metrics to pick who they think the 12 best teams are.

confused why LSU has anything to do with this as an LSU fan? I believe south carolina would deserve It in this scenario...
