Better yet, maybe Auburn can secede from the NCAA.
Declare yourselves national champions every season.
Ole Miss can loan you "Dixie" and "Colonel Reb" since they let the trademark expire and don't need it anymore...
The Aubarn will rise again...

And Cecil says MSU didn't feel comfortable going to the SEC and went straight to the NCAA and Slive is out of the loop.

Cecil layin the wood to Slive.

So....MSU reported it to the SEC in January as we were previously led to believe.
Then, SEC SAT ON THEIR arse and MSU reported it to the NCAA.
Can the NCAA send a letter of violation to the SEC ?

Yep. Slive's little feelings were hurt.
Good luck getting anyone to give a frick about that, Mikey.

Did Cecil just say "frick the small schools" re: MSUs feelings about dealing w/ the SEC office?

MSU isn't going to be able to buy anyone after they get the cowbell bill from Slive's office tomorrow. Has an NCAA school ever declared bankruptcy?

Yup.
Basically he's saying Slive was more concerned with process than whether Cam Newton had an eligibility issue.
Honestly, I don't know why the SEC was involved in getting follow up info from MSU. Shouldn't the SEC have just immediately forwarded what they had to the NCAA and left it in the NCAA's lap? The SEC doesn't investigate squat so it would seem their only role would be to inform the NCAA, inform other schools that would need to know (like Auburn) and that's it.

"[Slive] is a man of great integrity."
More like he's a blubbering pussy who wants to cover his arse and wag his finger at MSU for not handing the report off to him to lock in a vault somewhere and forget about it.

And now all the Auburn boards - who up till now had nothing but horrible things to say about "that bammer Mike Slive" - are sucking all over his nuts.
BOOM - Cecil says that if MSU had left it up to the SEC office that "all of it would be sitting in a file folder in Birmingham".

Wow. ...If Mississippi State hadn't reported this it would be sitting in a file folder somewhere...we wouldn't know about it...
That's pretty ballsy to say.
