How many rushing yards did we average last year when we had Chris "Statue" fricking Todd back there?

C'mon, you're smarter than that.

215 YPG. That ain't shabby. Like I said, the four senior OL may be a bigger issue of replacing than Cam Newton.

Look at the numbers.

K.

Cam has 17 rushing touchdowns on the year. Not only does that lead the team, it's one shy away from being twice as many as the next closest - McCaleb - who has 9. He's got more than 3 times as many as Dyer - with 5, and more than 4 times as many as Fannin - with 4.

That means that he is one rushing TD shy of having as many rushing TDs as the next three guys in that category combined. He's also only 3 rushing TDs away from having as many as everyone else on the entire team combined.

He averages 118 yards per game rushing. Then next closest in that category is Dyer - who averages 78 yards per game.

So... he leads the team in rushing attempts, total rushing yards, rushing TDs, rushing yards per game (those stats are typically lead by running backs ), passing yards, passing TDs, and passing yards per game.

You're right. I have no idea why people think Auburn is a "one man show".

Every person you mentioned had a good supporting cast...I just can't say the same about Cam.

Did you not watch our offensive line made Nevis and Co. their bitch all day?

How the frick does Cam get all those yards without blocking at the line adn downfield?

We are about to have a second 1000 yard rusher. He didnt just shite out those yards.

I am proud of all 120 players on my team...not just one.

obviously cam is a little more important to his team than ingram was to alabama last year. but hes still on the team and its stupid to say auburn is less of a "team" just because cam is SO good. ROLL TIDE beat the shite out of em saturday!!!!

Apparently you have not seen how respectable he has played in the NFL, and how bad Texas has become with out him. Leave Colt out of this

I watched our defense attempt to arm tackle his arse and then watched them lay on the ground as he kept running. Nevis was double teamed all day fwiw also.

No one is arguing about the offensive line...your O-line is a strong suit for the team. The question is if you take Cam out and put Trotter in the game do you really think you are 11-0. No. Not even close. He is the difference between AU being average and having a shot at the National Championship.

this is the whole point. And if Ingram went down last year I still think Bama is playing in the NC game.
Bottom Line:
Can you say the same about auburn if Cam went down??

Also, I'll mention that I haven't seen many "WAR O-LINE EAGLE!!!" signs.

About 215 yards a game last year is good but nothing like the 300+ they are putting up this year, you take away Cam's yardage and influce he has on the other backs yardage and you are back to you average last year. With the same bad defense, I say you probably have the same record as last year. At best.

I just want to clear something up for whoever the caller was today on Finebaum that was talking about how good Auburn would be without Cam. He basically said that every team was a one man show and that without Ingram last year Bama doesn't win the NC. Sorry but i have to disagree, Bama was hands down the best team last year by and I honestly think Richardson could have stepped in and they not miss a beat. He said that Ingram meant to Bama last year what Cam means to AU this year. NO WAY IN HELL THATS TRUE

Are you really arguing against something a caller said on Finebaum? On a message board?

Why don't you just call into the show if you feel the need to rebut.

That is a stupid statment becasue nobody knows what will happen. He and our oline will be gone next year and so Trotter will have his own season.

LAst yeaer we won 8 game and our defense blew 3 4th Q leads. We were pretty dam close to 11 wins this time last year without him.

Go back and look at the past 7 BCS Champs - It's the exact opposite.

2003 - LSU: Team Defense and a very balanced Offense
2004 - USC: Best team money can buy. So many stars it wasn't funny
2005 - TEXAS: Vince Young had a great Championship game, but it was a team loaded with play-makers that got them there.

2006 - FLA: Unbelievable defense and balanced offense with Leak, Harvin, Tebow, and the others.

2007 - LSU: Same Formula - Defense and Balanced Offense. Could be argued Hester was MVP of Team

2008 - Fla: Closest to his theory, but Tebow did have a supporting cast and a Bitch of a D

2009 - Bama: The thing that made Bama soooo good last year was that offensive line. Look at the difference this year. Also Cody McClain, and Dareus were big last year.

2010 - Look at Oregon, TCU, Boise, LSU, Stanford, Wisc. All balanced attacks.

can you give an honest answer to my last post? DO you think Bama could have played for the NC last year without Ingram? And do you think AU plays for it this year without Cam?

They did...AU shut down Ingram last year adn made his arse quit.

No. But thst does not mean we have no other talent on our team.

A one man show suggest the opposite.

Never said you had no other talent. You just don't have undefeated season talent without him and Bama last year did. All the argument was about simply put

Chill dude. You seem real sensitive about a subject that most every AU fan I know agrees with the majority of posters in this thread on...we are not banging AU...we are stating our thoughts about the season...you do know that you guys have almost lost three games this year (Clemson, Kentucky, South Carolina). The difference is this year in the close game you have Cam...enjoy the season and chill out. Alabama was a far more complete team last year than AU this year...but if AU wins a NC it will feel just as sweet
