He won’t be “kept.” But I don’t know if we’ll fire him just yet.

I’ll be upset if he’s here on Tuesday. There’s no reason to wait unless they want Fulmer as the interim coach and want him to start at home.

Gene Chizik situation. He and his staff know they are toast but it's too far along in the year to flat out fire him. They will let him go after last regular season game and name their best recruiter as interim coach for bowl or off-season if they don't make a bowl to try and salvage recruiting class.

Chris Klieman was told he wouldn't be officially hired until after the season.

Butch will be retained indefinitely. UT will sit him down and offer him an extension and a huge raise at seasons end. Personally, as a UGA fan, I love the way Butch is leading his team. Not everyone can be a Life Champion.

Thomaston_DAWG thought he posted a real heater with this one

I completely understand Vols fans wanting a change, but y'all ought to let him finish the year out. It's not like there's a chance of him rallying the troops and saving his job. And how confident are y'all that you make a good hire this time, after the previous three train wrecks?

I'm fairly confident.

- New AD
- Good roster and not a massive rebuild
- Tennessee is in great shape financially unlike when they hired Dooley and Butch

These tools still think they are getting Gruden for the third straight coaching hire. Some even claim a deal s already in place just like the previous 2 go arounds. Outside of one good season in Tampa, he isn't even that great of a coach. Not sure why he gets the attention he does.

Absolutely. He should've been fired last Sunday. Tennessee should never lose to teams like SCAR, Vandy, etc on a yearly basis

If he's not gone by Sun/Mon then AD John Currie will be.

Shitty bowls are shitty but the practices count for a lot and the ONLY chance we have of going to one is if we have an interim. OC Larry Scott better be either fired or demoted back down to TE coach too.

He’ll be gone once they have his replacement locked down and can announce it. If it coincides with losing today, then purely coincidental.
