UT should be in the Sugar Bowl. They are the better team.
Should South Carolina be instead? They’re still cleaning up Vol blood from the field after that splattering.

It was a rebuilding season. The only reason Alabama lost those 2 games is because of injuries and bad officiating. The Alabama players were looking ahead to the draft.

This is absolutely the most “Bama” thing I’ve ever heard. Congrats my friend.

The committee did not consider how tough Bama’s SEC schedule was and how good were the two teams that beat them at the time. Yes, TCU is good, but is their OT loss any better than Bama’s OT loss to LSU?

It's not about their loss.

1. TCU has a better record than Bama. 12-1 vs 10-2
2. TCU is undefeated in regulation. Bama is not.
3. TCU already beat the team they lost to. Bama didn't avenge either of their losses.
4. TCU beat a higher ranked team than Bama. KSU > Texas.
5. TCU's second win is over Bama's best win (Texas) and TCU beat them worse with their starter playing than Bama did with a backup.

Bama didn't get in because their best win was Texas, they had 2 losses, they had lots of close wins against mediocre teams and they couldn't justify putting Bama any higher than 4th and couldn't deal with a Michigan/OSU rematch.

The only thing Bama had going for them this year was their losses were close. The main reason they're ranked as high as they are is their name. They should be around 10th in the ranking.

Take it up with the committee. Apparently they, along with the AP and Coaches, fell like Alabama is better. Unlike you or me, their opinion actually counts.

Al I know is Tennessee beat Alabama. So did LSU. So did Texas and Texas A&M, but the referees stepped in with gifts.

They just didn't want to hear Nick snivel, grovel, and cry worse than they already knew that was coming..

Tennessee has the better resume in every category.

Nick Saban - "but we finished strong...against Austin Peay and Auburn."

Bama is a joke now. A shell of what it once was.

I keep hearing people say "BAMA was a few plays away from being 7-5". My counter statement is simple, ALABAMA was two plays away from being Undefeated.

Everyone can say what they want, but irregardless of the overall "look" of the team throughout the year, thanks to BY, they were always there on the last play of the game, and everyone, especially UGA, breathed a big sigh of relief when the final 4 were announced.

Sugar Bowl....I give us 50/50 odds. This team will have great difficulty getting motivated for the game, especially without Young, and Anderson.

Future....let's HOPE Saban does some MAJOR restructuring during the off season, otherwise, his two lame-duck coordinators are going to pull Alabama into mediocrity.

What if Notre Dame had the exact same players as Alabama, coaches, and the exact schedule and results? How would you feel about Notre Dame being #5 right now?

Bama’s decline this year is all because of discipline on defense. Before the snap, during the play, and after the play is over!

I don’t know if Saban has taken a step back in his later years and is letting his coordinators handle that aspect. Or he’s lost one or two coaches that preach it(Cochran?) . But just look at the big games that Bama lost this year, and those 2-3 plays that decided those games. Players were out of position, not communicating, they are out there for themselves and not the team!

One thing that stuck with me all year about this team that I thought was very uncharacteristic.. when Bama won the Texas game and Saban was going across to shake Sarks hand, he stopped mid jog to yell at his players( defense) to tell them to stop throwing up the horns down. That’s NOT the Bama that I’ve come to know in Saban’s tenure!

Top to bottom Bama is one of the most talented teams that take the field on Saturdays, they are not one of the BEST TEAMS, and that’s why they are not in the CFP!

The most over rated team in Alabama history. Got Bryce Young and Anderson and still can’t make it to the playoffs, or win a Natty with Bryce at QB.

TCU doesn't have a "bad" loss. They don't have very many good wins, either.

TCU was a "just win and your in" team that most people would say doesn't pass the smell test.

I'm not saying that the committee got it wrong. I'm just saying that I would have done differently. I think the committee sticks to a standard, and that isn't a bad thing.

LSU is currently a 4 loss team. Purdue has a chance to change that.

Call your bookie now and take Purdue +5. O'Connell and Chuck Jones are going to skullf*** l$u and their soft defense, especially on the backend...Mockabee will have huge running lanes, too. This is a textbook example where even an average coach like Jeff Brohm can outscheme and out prepare an idiot like Kelly. I'm thinking like 45-21 Purdue here...Boiler up!

Happy to not be playing an SEC opponent in the playoffs. Losing to anyone would suck but it would be doubly so after winning the SEC. (It’s happened twice in the CFB playoffs).

Bama will be back to its old self next year. The conference as a while will be better as well.

Most of Bama's games were the same way. The only team that was decent that Bama actually blew out was MSU.

LSU and Tennessee were close losses.
Ole Miss, Texas and A&M were close wins.

While the wins over Arkansas and Auburn were comfortable... they didn't get to that range until relatively late.

The only teams Bama really did more than "just win" against were Vandy and Miss State.

TCU handled OU, Colorado and Iowa State. Largely the same type of performances on the season as Bama... except they lost one less game and won 2 more.

People in their heads are thinking that Bama was dominant in their wins this year because they have done that in the past (combined with a close loss). That wasn't this year. They had few dominant wins and two (not one) close losses. The argument isn't there.

TCU is undefeated in regulation, was 12-0 vs. Bama's 10-2.

Had they skipped their championship game, they were in. A terrible spot on second down cost them in OT, Ball should have been on the 1 foot line or closer, not the 1 yard line.

The committee saw that and did not penalize them. The Committee got it right.

The melt by Bama fan is great, keep them coming.
