That prediction is all you need to know about how little the media, especially SEC basketball media, knows about teams before a season.
Once Wade got Tremont Waters, there was no way LSU was going to finish last. I still think it will be tough for LSU to finish in the top half of the SEC. But anyone who read as few as one or two basketball articles before football season was over knew they were never going to finish last.
Just goes to show all the buffet-grazers outside of Kentucky that have to cover basketball don't know a lick about basketball.
