Huh? Correct me if I'm wrong but LSU has brought home a few championships here and there in THIS league. A&M hasn't done that yet, right? Is it only a matter of time? Possibly. They have as good a shot as any team in the league to establish the next great SEC dynasty. But a Cotton Bowl victory does not a dynasty make my friend. That's just a stepping stone. It could be like LSU's 11-2 season in 06', BAMA's 12-2 season in '08 or Florida's 9-3 season in '05 (all good to great seasons that were followed by exceptional SEC and National championship seasons)or it could be like Arkansas in 2011 or Ole Miss in 2003. No one here really cares about one great non-championship season. And why should we when (until the most recent expansion) almost half the league had at least one national championship and a quarter of the league had two plus championships in the BCS era. Win a title bro, then talk all you want. But until then be quiet because nobody cares that you brought home a third place trophy.

None of them responded to this:

"It's kind of hard to have a target on your back when you finished third in your own division," Texas A&M running back Ben Malena said. "I think the reason people would say that [we've got a target on us] is because we had unexpected success. But we're trying to go from third to first. I don't think there's a target on our backs at all. We've still got two teams that finished ahead of us. I think the target would be on their backs more than ours."

Ok. You or I will never make another post on this site and never create an alter. I somehow doubt you will live up to this, but I will if I lose.

You get your pick:

AU wins 3 games or less or AU wins zero SEC games.

You are missing the point. I swear, every conversation with aggies an tigers goes something like this:

Ag: we had a great season!

LSU: yeah, but no championship.

Ag: but it was still a good season, we were expected to win around 6, we won 11!

LSU: season sucks without a championship.

Ag: no, it doesn't. We did great.

LSU: championships or failure.

Ag: so every season without a natty or SEC championship is a failure?

LSU: yes.

Ag: what a depressing look on football.

LSU: well, I started following football in 2001, so I don't see why you're excited about 10 wins.

Ag: I see.

yeah, they had a tougher OOC.

nana nana nana nana trollman! AU better get that shite together. 42-0 at halftime was fun, mind you, but I like the heart stoppers. At least Auburn of the state of Georgia gave us fans that last year. Such a rollercoaster with a 6 pack of pups behind us. it never got really trashy, but there was jawing.

Bro, no one is saying you can't enjoy your season. I don't follow A&M football that closely but from what I recall, the Mike Sherman years were pretty tough for you guys. I'd be beyond stoked for my team if they put together an 11-2 season after that. Hell, I was beyond stoked in 1995 when Jerry Dinardo lead my Tigers to a 7-4 season after five years of cellar dwelling. But being happy about a good season is totally different from being arrogant about it. It's not the excitement thats out of order; its the arrogance. In this league all 11-2 gives you is hope and optimism for next year. Last I checked, championships were not won on hope and optimism. Georgia had a great year last year. So did Florida. Do you see them running their mouth about their greatness to anyone who'll listen? Bottom line, if you're rich you don't have to say it. KEEP CALM AND ACT LIKE YOU'VE BEEN HERE BEFORE.

A&M fans have no self respect at all. Sad that they can't admit a team that beat them straight up in their HOUSE wasn't the better team.

shite. No. With the season about to start I didn't realize this was about last year.

I'm distracted sending work emails too.

So, obviously no bet and my bad.

As bad as Auburn's defense was in 2012, it's hard to believe Arkansas, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri were all worse, statistically.
