CKS could give him a full release if he wanted to - Richt did it all the time, so I am not sure this statement is valid.

I'm actually not clear on what the rules guiding transfers and releases are anymore.. I know things changed with the invent of the "transfer portal", but not certain how much say coaches have on whether the release is conditional anymore? Haven't seen anything put out there recently that breaks down what, if anything, has changed.

In any regard, what Richt did or didn't do has zero bearing on what a future coach may elect to do. If the rules allow a conditional waiver, his attorney isn't going to have a lot of leverage.

Good luck dealing with Thomas Mars. You are going to need it.

You mean the attorney who represented a A&M player who referred to his teammates as "monkeys"????

quote:

The dismissal was reportedly due to a video that surfaced last week that seemed to depict Marchiol referring to his black A&M teammates as “monkeys.”

Thomas Mars, Marchiol’s attorney for the A&M allegations, released a statement on Monday to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, saying he respects Arizona’s decision to dismiss his client:

“As someone who helped lead the effort to advance diversity in the legal profession … I understand and respect the University’s decision. On the other hand, as someone who’s grown close to Santino and who knows the quality of his character, the depth of his faith, and the sincerity of his convictions, I’m heartbroken. What can be heard on the highlights video doesn’t reflect the values or beliefs of the young man that I’ve come to know.”

Soooo petrified...cannot stop thinking about the "damage" he'll inflict upon the program for decades

Not sure how much attention you paid to the Ole Miss saga but Mars is going to drag his nutts and your schools name all through the mud. Good luck.

That's fine... What does he have as "ammo" here? A baseball player that was promptly dismissed by the university following what appeared to be a drunken outburst? Which was apparently so hurtful that the parents allowed their daughter to enroll at the same university. Literally *any* ammo they may have on any sort of race angle is shot in the leg by that decision. If race is the issue, it's the same for your daughter as it is for your son... They can then lean on football reasons, but that isn't enough to merit the waiver for early play...

Kirby promised Fields he would be a starter at Georgia by the end of the year.

Kirby promised fields the opportunity to beat Fomm for the starting job.

He promises the top recruits that they will be considered for the starting job. He promises that it's an open competition, which he has showed in allowing all the freshman playing time that they have gotten.

This flies in the face of what the recruits say... I understand none of them would blatantly say "Kirby told me I would be a starter"... but they also wouldn't make up the party line of "Kirby/coaches tell me that I'll have the chance to come in and compete for the starting job right away... it's an open competition and if you earn it in practice, you can get on the field"...

And it works out that way... consistently. This is a fun new line of dawggrading though... I'm always curious what the next "Kirby Shenanigan" is going to be.

It's a no brainer to me. He would kill it at OU.

I heard he may want to go to TEXAS...because he wants to go to a school with an actual NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP tradition, rather than Georgia.

Yo despite 99% of your self esteem deriiving from the football program you root for it will still say , “Washed up, piece of shite that should have cared more about his income and social status” on your gravestone, Jake.

I’m gonna let you get your shots in over message board Bc something tells me your existence is a complete and utter joke.

Look at it this way, imagine Bama losing Jalen before this season. No explanation needed. Georgia has just the 2 walkons behind Fromm now?
