Don't be silly. LSU is a good program, better than Auburn by a couple spots historically.
Now it's a garbage school in a garbage town with room temp IQ people, but the football program is legit.

Notre Dame is the Mae West of college football, living off weak schedules and prior glory. LSU is simply a better job these days.

I agree with LSU fans though, there is value in stealing a coach from another big school.
That said, I think it's a low energy steal because BK isn't exactly a coach with a lot of buzz. Still worth something. With recruits you'd probably get more credit for taking Mario from Oregon or something, although I think BK is a safer option for LSU, who can't really afford a huge bust.
