Alabama was effective running the ball against Texas last year. 24 rushes for 161 yards at 6.7 per carry. Texas could not run the ball against Bama in that game. I don't think Texas will be able to run the ball this time either.
My question is will Bama run more effectively this time because of the added dimension Milroe brings? Or will his lack of passing ability, compared to Bryce Young, allow Texas to load the box?
If this game comes down to Texas' ability to stop the run they'll lose, IMO. Because I think Bama is going to have more than 200 yards rushing.
My brain tells me Bama wins. But I'm hoping Texas' O-line rises to the occasion in pass protection and we outscore Bama through the air.
Texas 31
Bama 30

It's not even a guarantee Milroe starts that game.

Bama 35
Texas 31
Texas leads late in fourth quarter but the UT choke gets pulled and the gumps pull off a game winning drive

Stephen, Stephen, Stephen..just because someone from Texas is your Daddy and won’t claim you…is no reason to go through life with your Texas Derangement Syndrome.

They had a single big run, the rest weren't doing jack shite. They weren't moving the chains. They only scored 20 points.
Ask your wife if thrusting your dick into her while it's limp 95% of the time before blowing your load is effective for her.

Texas needs to use a controlled rush, keeping Milroe in the pocket and forcing him to throw the ball downfield. You don't want to flush him out of the pocket, but if you can make him feel uncomfortable back there you will have more success.
Word is Alabama is reverting back to a heavier run game and hard nosed defense. It will be interesting to see if they can do that in a year.
Should be a really good game, I think. I am really looking forward to it.

Take that 80 yard away and they still averaged 3.47 ypc. not great, but not shut down, either. In contrast, Texas averaged 2.4 ypc with an 18 yard run. If you take Alabama's best run away, you should also take Texas' best run away.
that would leave Texas with a 1.9 ypc.
Alabama easily ran the ball more effectively than Texas.
ETA
Edited to show corrected ypc for Texas.

Texas RBs would have had 55 yards on 26 carries.
Gump RBs would have had 42 yards on 16 carries.
Not a single Texas fan was afraid whenever a gump RB would get handed the ball.
Alabama easily had Bryce Young superhero scramble more effectively but their "running game" was shut down. They hardly ran the damn thing because they couldn't!

I think Texas runs a heavy 3 down lineman front with Catalon crashing the box till his shoulder disintegrates. Whoever Bama throws out there at QB is going to have to make some throws, no way Texas doesn’t sell out on the run. If Texas jumps out to a lead, I think it’ll be a long day at the office for the Bama QBs.

Texas can't lose. It's obvious tDecline is real. You should have your celebratory jelly dongs at the ready.

Why does it matter if the fans are afraid or not? That has nothing to do with the game.
Everything else you said holds no water.
