Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Michigan make the semis and the country shits it’s pants because the SEC takes up 3 spots.

If you’re in the 13-25 range you’ve screwed up enough in the regular season to not be worthy of a natty.

You can’t play that many games. If we get there, put the kids on salary and they don’t have to do school. Each college will have their own semi-pro team and we cap payroll.

FCS only plays 11 regular season games and no conference title games.

12 works a lot better. The first round of a 12 team tournament would have some interesting games. This is kind of meh.

Agreed, but it’s no longer college football at that point.

If it even still is.

What if CFB had a 10 game season and conference tournaments?

16 teams. No byes. All games on campus except for title game…works and has worked for every other level of football.

Playing 12 and conf title game makes this impossible though. Maybe with 11 game schedule…but conferences make too much money currently to ever go to 16

I think Troy could go into Seattle and win. Set up a Troy-Alabama game.

LSU at Tulane in that on campus facility would be epic.

South Carolina has a legit path to the semifinals.

There ain't 12 teams, 16 teams, 8 teams, or barely 6 teams that deserve a shot at the NC.

Why not? FCS has been doing a 24 team playoff for years.
High School kids play 15 games if they make it to state championship
Do away with the conference championship game and award a champion based on regular season standings like the NFL. Play a 12 game schedule still and every conference has to play 9 conference games.

Adding too much mileage on legs, concussion, etc. And the kids should just do it for our enjoyment and be grateful to be on scholarships? Nah, pay them a salary if they are going to play 15+ game seasons and be full time students. It’s basically becoming a job.

I agree pay them a salary and make them pay taxes on it like we regular people do. Also do away with scholarships in FBS and use that money to directly pay players on what the market says and have them pay their own Tuition, food, room and board and whatever else they want.
