Well, he does have the record for the fastest 40 ever recorded at the combine and it is a 4.12 40.
bullshite.
Chris Johnson has the fastest 40 yard dash at the NFL combine with a 4.24
Having said that....
Who fricking cares about 40 time. That doesn't translate to game speed and performance on the field. Florida had 4.4 WRs all over the field the last few years....that doesn't mean they can run a fricking route and catch the ball.

Bradley Sylve has to be one of the fastest guys in the SEC.

Records
This is a list of the top official 40-yard dash results recorded at the NFL Scouting combine since 1999, the first year electronic timing was implemented at the NFL Scouting Combine.[3][4] Prior to 1999, 40 yard dash times were somewhat unreliable and often prone to exaggeration. However, in 1986, Auburn's Bo Jackson ran the fastest 40 yard dash at an NFL combine, with a reported time of 4.12. This time was obviously scrutinized, but a time of 4.18 run by Jackson within the same week certainly added some support to the legitimacy of the times.
40 yard combine times
Wasn't electronically timed. Fastest time electronically timed was Chris Johnsons 4.24

Yea, he proved himself wrong.

No, reported 40 times and actual 40 times are completely different.
Read the fricking thread. There are plenty of stop watch 40 times that are ridiculously faster than the same person at the same combine running an electronic 40.
If you go to NFL.com and look at the 40s, they don't even acknowledge the 40 times prior to 1999 because they were so unreliable and exaggerated.

If only there were some sport in which athletes from the various schools could compete head to head in different kinds of races...
