From someone that has been to Baton Rouge many many times over the last 40 years... the downward trend of the last 10-12 years is remarkable and the slope is getting steeper.
It's a shame the city has neglected to take crime seriously in some of the areas close to campus. All those cameras... don't make much difference. Need police presence, need to bulldoze some of those shithole apartments, and make a concerted effort to start some type of push to revitalize around LSU.
