I'm not grasping at anything. We know for a fact that Fanning wrote an apology. That's good enough for me. You're the one making up reasons to discredit it. Sad.

Not buying it, no way that guy can read or write.

Lets be real. If he was "sorry" about what happened he wouldn't have been celebrating it by having a picture of the incident on his twitter page.
I think Saban is the one showing some class here and there is no doubt that some of it comes from his relationship with Pinkel. Lets just no go overboard laying "Class" as an adjective on Fanning for the apology. Im not sure if the kid has class or not but the apology does not prove this given the twitter image.

geez... give the kid a little credit... has this even been done before in the sec. Ive never heard of it happening

He doesn't have it on his twitter page though. You don't know when that was put up, or who put it up there. Maybe he thought it was a cool photo. I mean, it did look pretty cool. And it's not like anyone got hurt. Not that any of that matters, he took it down. He apologized for his action. What else can he do? He's already gone above and beyond what other players would have done in this situation.

For what?
Writing an apology that Saban told him to write while posting a picture of the incident on his twitter feed?
I give Saban and the program credit for handling things the way they did. Fanning? Not so much.

It's pathetic you're willing to shrug off Fairley doing stuff like this week in and week out, and no one in your program ever apologizing for it. And now Fanning has one incident, apologizes like a man, and it's not good enough for you. Perhaps it is you who likes that american television show the simpsons, amirite?!?! get it?!?! And maybe I didn't get your "pun" at first because that it was a really shitty joke. Some of us hold the classics in higher regard than to shite all over them with such limpwristed attempts at humor. Trash .

Did Tyler Hayes also say he was sorry?

why did he allow D.J. Hall to play in the 2nd half of the La. Monroe game?
First none of us even know what DJ did to get suspended. It wasn't grades and he hadn't been arrested. It was something internal. Probably attitude problems. This was his last home football game and the other seniors asked Saban to let him play because of that. Saban gave in and maybe he shouldn't have. I'm sure he wouldn't have had he known that nearly 6 years later diddydirtyAubie would still be up in arms about it.

no reasoning with someoe who makes self-serving assumptions with no evidence to support his/her postion. Im satisfied with what Fanning has done. Now the leauge can do what it will, if anything.

There are so many posters in this thread that are just worried about what Fanning is going to do to them over the next few years. The terror is palpable. That's why they are attacking his character.
