If someone is a fan of a team(state school where they were born) then goes to a school other than that one, then goes to graduate school at the school of the team they liked first, which team are they "allowed" to root for? Both? Of course you can root for whoever you want, but I'm asking about what "true fandom" is.

This is a silly question but I'll bite. I think you have the "right" to root for either one.

It's stupid, but sort of relevant considering the "sidewalk fan" posts on here all the time.

You've set yourself up to get all sorts of dumbass opinions here, for no reason. Just stop. Root for whoever you want.

Preemptive answer to the true keepers of fandom: Yes. I went to and graduated from A&M. Give the kid a break.

ETA: But once you choose, you cannot change. Ever.

I can only say I was born and raised in Iowa, but attended Arkansas my Freshman year and my golf game at that time was not quite good enough for the Hogs. Had I stayed the course, I would have probably played by my Junior Year, but transferred to Iowa and had to wait a year to be eligible and played on the Iowa golf team.

To this day the #1year in Fayetteville, has made me a bigger Razorback fan than a Hawkeye, but I never miss a game when either plays.

Two TVs sets on Ark vs Ky tonight with other on Iowa at Rutgers.
