So I don’t know if any Sooners in this board know. However..

I’m surprised Oklahoma State is not panicking a bit and putting political pressure to not get left behind in all the expansion..

I know nothing about Oklahoma politics.. but I’m just curious if there is inside knowledge..

OSU's political power left at the same time T. Boone did.

Your probably right, but the Governor is an alumn.

OU is more powerful in the state than any governor. Governors have to win elections. fricking with anything OU isn't the hill you want to die on.

It’s Oklahoma State.

Besides OU does whatever Texas tells it to.

Oklahoma State is better than you clowns, and they don't forfeit bowl games.

Which one of you Sooners are actually going to address my point? Oh, none of you bitches? That’s what I expected.

I'll address your point.

OSU isn't panicking because the Big XII immediately picked up a bunch of teams and now is doing a PAC 12 raid. Moreover, they think they can be the dominant team in football in the new Big XII.

Finally, OSU is pretty strong as an athletic brand. They are elite in several minor sports and they have a sense that they are healthy as an athletic program.

The only thing the wringing their hands about is whether OU will continue to play them in football and basketball.

I don’t comment much but Mobilhoma has been extremely lucky with coaching hires of late. They obviously rely so much on the Texas recruit in all sports to stay relevant. I see John Blake days ahead in their near future for this trashy fan base and I personally can't wait. I’ve been to a lot of venues and this is the most classless penis envy bunch I’ve come across.

There were a few house members that tried to get something political to tie OU and OSU together. Nothing materialized. I would imagine with the way college FB is barreling toward a 2 super conference model, the legislature etc. knows having OU in there alone is better than no Oklahoma schools at the party.

In short, aside from applying pressure, OU and OSU admins aren't beholden to the state as much. The state has cut funding to academics for almost a decade, currently the state funds only 10% of the University's budget...

If you consider OU as a penis envy bunch, how would you classify A&M fan's? As a homoerotic penis craving bunch?

He hasn't "been to a lot of venues" and he certainly hasn't been to a game in Norman.

He's just another jealous aggot attack chihuahua fan barking at other programs who are superior to his own. That's their miserable existence on this planet is talking shite to everybody who has the kind of program they desperately wish they were.

There hasn't been much talk out of the politicians other than disappointment from the one's with OSU ties. I haven't heard much since the announcement.

We have come out and said we'd love to keep playing them in football. Our president said
"“We want the Bedlam rivalry to continue well past the expiration of this media rights agreement,” Harroz said. “Make no mistake, we want the Bedlam rivalry to continue. Even with this change, we want to play Oklahoma State in every sport in every year.”

It's OSU who has wet feet. From their AD:

""I’m not saying we would never play them, but logistics need to be worked out," Weiberg said of the football series, according to Brett McMurphy of Action Network. "There are a lot of unanswered questions."
