Again, Beau, they'd never view it that objectively.

Move Mizzou to the West and get Clemson and FSU.

Most of the conference wouldn't either, not after they turned down an invite in 90.

Texas would never happen. More likely candidates would be FSU, Clemson, or VTech. Plus bringing in two of those three would allow Mizzou to come to the West which makes infinitely more sense than having them in the East.

The point I was trying to make was that it looks like Conference expansion really won't happen after the playoffs kick in. Texas may be stuck in the conference they are in now if they don't try to make a move before 2014. I just can't see them getting much respect in that conference or continue to get good recruits after A&M's success.

Move Mizzou to the west and add Va Tech and NC State. More TV viewers equals more money.

I think it goes to a full conference vote. I'm not sure if you and Missouri have full voting rights yet. For some reason I thought it was 2 years before you could vote.

Seeing as how we already voted to allow recruits at neutral site games, you're wrong.

I don't want Texas in the SEC. Any two off this list would be fine with me

Clemson
FSU
Va Tech
Ga Tech
Miami

Texas would never get it. A&M, LSU and Mizzou would vote them down without even blinking.

WTF is wrong with you? Texas would never get in, and their president Bill Powers has publicly bashed the SEC for what he considers "lackluster academics". Besides the fact that A&M, LSU and Mizzou would vote them down without even blinking.

Texas will never join the SEC. It would be viewed as "following" A&M. They have an ego problem.

Hell they stopped recruiting the best player in the state because he started leaning A&M. Mack says they get everybody they offer and that's why.

I guess that is the ultimate Aggie dream for Texas to self destruct.

Yes and the glorious Longhorn Network is a big part of it. 99% of their fans didn't get their game yesterday.

Agree that if we expand it'll be in to states without an SEC footprint. A lot more money when they SEC network kicks off.

Texas would get in if they wanted. No question about it. A&M and maybe LSU wouldn't vote them in but that's probably it.

Why would we block Texas?

Why all th love for Clemson? Do you really want 2 teams in the SEC from Sakerlina? Not knocking Clemson but they would add nothing and just be another mouth to feed. Seem less likely worse add than longhorns.

VTech and NC would be homerun. Need help from B1G and B12 to breakup ACC.

You're already gonna have a handful with recruiting texas kids v. a&m. Ya'll wouldn't want two juggernauts in texas taking your talent. Be reasonable.

Be reasonable. There are plenty of LSU fans in east Texas.

But let's imagine the impossible for a second....just how pissed off would A&M be if Texas was invited at some point in the future.

The SEC provides an opportunity for A&M to become top dog in Texas. If Texas joined e conference, A&M would become little brother again.

If I was an Aggy, I'd be super pissed off!

I would be pissed.

Won't happen though. They can't be seen as following us, and the gentleman agreement blocks their entry.
