I'm sure you'll come back and eat crow when that doesn't happen, right?

There was this deep distrust of everybody. The coaches didn’t trust the administration, the administration didn’t trust each other or the coaches.

The rest of this article may be a load of bullshite, but I believe this. Anybody who has followed that story of TT and his boss should know that it wasn't a healthy working relationship.

They were out to get them!
Lowder wanted Tubby out long ago. That was no secret.

He wouldn't be yapping if AU had just done the honorable thing and paid him a consulting fee for five or six years...as they usually do.

I have to agree. It is getting very tiring reading of the rumors going around about Bama and vice versa. I do not like Bama...let me make that clear...they did beat us handily this year and they did it because they have a coaching staff that worked their butt off in recruiting. They won, they deserved it. If they cheated so be it. It will be found out if they did. Just like it would be found out if Auburn does or did.
I don't, however, understand why most Auburn fans have "hit the panic button" over the loss. Mostly because I don't see Auburn as being as "far behind" Bama as most people say. Our biggest problem was the previous staff's lack of enthusiasm when it came to recruiting. That was a visible factor in the arrival of Nick Saban. This current staff has already proved that they are going to work just as hard, if not harder, as the staff at Bama to make sure that Auburn is on an even playing field.
If anything I am excited at Bama's success. I am excited with the strides that Auburn has made toward success. That means we may be headed back in the direction of the old days when the Iron Bowl meant something more than bragging rights. After all, besides breaking the streak and getting to run their mouth what did beating Auburn mean? What did the 6 in a row for Auburn mean? NOTHING!

Good post. I agree. We should be able to despise each other in a civil manner. All of the Get Smart crap is bush league.

The PI he is refering to is one that was hired by some influential boosters and administration members to see how much time Tuberville was putting into the program. It was not about cheating or recruiting issues. That said he has accused several programs in the SEC of blatant cheating, though this was in a trance like state where he was yelling and screaming about not getting a particular recruit.

Amen, brother!
Tuberville and company are/were a lot of things but stupid isn't one of them. No way would they allow Franklin or any other outsider to get close enough to the clique to do any damage. Thus, the skeletons remain in the closet.

More proof the Alabama fans are obscessed with Auburn. What with all the history behind the two schools its easy to understand.
