This is a week when you go to a small school. They just don't get it. That makes that small schools sports fans decade.
This. Liberty plays Jacksonville State that day. That's two very good FCS programs who have enough fans to make for a great Gameday.

they let me skip 3rd grade english because i was reading at a college level. I spent my time studying applied mathematics. My 3rd grade thesis was on the topic of college football and how the 2 largest metropolitan areas in the country have fans from all 128 NCAA member universities.

This is just an example of northeastern media believing New York is more interesting to the rest of the country than it really is.

Says the self-proclaimed "elite boarder".

Do you win gold medals or prizes for these "elite boarding" skills that you claim?

I mean, that's not entirely wrong. Imagine how many fans of different teams are in New York
I've lived in New York City. Literally no one cares about college football up there.

Tennessee vs Florida is the best game on Sat. and they should be having Game Day at Gainesville in spite of the hurricane damage; rather as a sign of good faith in support of the people in Florida who have been devastated by the hurricane. Translation: frick ESPN

quote:It does mean alot to the fans of smaller schools, but ESPN and Gameday already has those fans in their fold. They are trying to get new fans. With the NFL supposedly bleeding their fan base, wouldn't it be a good idea to swoop in and get some of those people? I mean time square is the busiest place in America at any given time. It isn't about their current fans, it is about new fans.

Which is exactly why they are going to an unconventional location that week

Thanks literally police.
The purpose of GameDay is to showcase campuses and the weird traditions associated with it. But instead, they'll have it in Times Square, which I'm sure will basically be New Years Eve coverage with a college football filter on it. There's nothing unique about it, and the majority of the college football fans in New York won't be anywhere near Times Square because of how annoying it is.

Hey, let's take an event that showcases the passion of college football to the least passionate spot in the country. …
The internet is not at all thrilled with College GameDay heading to New York City

Show is garbage now, much like all of ESPN's studio productions.
