On Saturdays in the fall, every school has a different associated bar/bars where their fans gather together to watch their team's game. It's pretty fun.
I see this in New Orleans also, and prob any major city. Might as well just make the rounds then.

It's not a terrible idea. Outside of like 3 games, it's a shitty CFB weekend.

Based in my personal experience, no one in NYC gives a rat's arse about CFB

This moron is insufferable.

Percentage wise, you may be right. But by raw numbers, New York was a top 10 city iirc.
Posted on 9/14/17 at 6:10 pm to SavageOrangeJug
It's not a bad idea at all.

New York is a pro town. You have more college football fans in Scratch Ankle, Alabama (yes, it's a real place) than you do in New York City.
Two of the best Alabama bars in the country aren't even in the state of Alabama. The Chicago and New York City alumni associations do an awesome job.

I think it's very cool, but at the same time if the Texas/Southern Cal game was on ESPN or ABC they would 100% be in LA.
But it's on FOX.

They do non ESPN games all the time. I think they just had this in mind for a while and this may have been the only time this year they could get the city to let them do it

I wouldn't go out calling others idiots after looking like a dumbass yourself. New York is the top college football market in terms of raw numbers...

Birmingham may have a higher percentage of fans, but overall NYC takes the cake as top dog.

I think people would be sorely sorely mistaken if college football is only sustained by the south east corner of the United States
College football would be worse than soccer in this country if nobody watched or cared for it other than people in Mississippi.
It's actually an embarassment that this is a thread
