If I did, you clearly wouldn't be able to comprehend it.

2009 Alabama was the most decorated Alabama team EVER. And at a program like Alabama, that is lot of fvcking decoration we're talking about.

1. 2009 UA
2. 2004 AU
the rest

Both never lost a game. Every other NC team from the SEC has a black scab on their record (2 for 2007 LSU).

Of all the SEC teams from 2000-2009, I would agree that Alabama 2009 was the best.

Bama beat an NCAA record TEN teams that went to bowl games this year. There is not a thing you can say that could legitimize the idea that 03 Lsu would have beaten 09 Bama

You do know Florida also beat 10 teams that went to bowl games last year, Bama was not the first.

2006 UF is one of 3 championship teams to win the title while playing the NCAA #1 SOS ('96 UF and I believe '83 PSU are the others).

5. 2006 Michigan (11-2)
6. 2008 Penn State (11-2)
7. 2009 Ohio State (11-2)
8. 2007 Ohio State (11-2)
9. 2009 Iowa (11-2)
10. 2005 Ohio State (10-2)
10. 2006 Wisconsin (12-1)

FWIW, our 05 team is without a doubt ahead of 07 and 09, and probably ahead of 06, too.

What is with all the LSU fans crying about this latest honor bestowed on Alabama 2009? Accepting the reality of Alabama's 09' superiority over all other SEC teams for a decade does not mean you have to like it. It's okay if you want to walk around life chewing on sour grapes, but do you have to act like whiny bitches?

When you are blinded by hostility and envy it's hard to see what the experts at ESPN state so very plainly: Alabama 2009 was the best SEC team over the past decade based on what they did, not what you wish had happened. So save your 'what if', 'I think' and 'woulda, coulda, should' scenarios that all of your weak arguments are based on, they are meaningless when compared to Alabama's 2009 accomplishments. Next time you feel the need to cry, just accept reality and congratulate us instead. You'll feel better.

Well, here ya go:

Auburn 2004 vs. opponents
Points Per Game............. 32.1 11.3
Average yds Per Game..........420.7 277.6
Average Per Play............ 6.4 4.6

UA 2009 vs. opponents
Points Per Game 32.1 11.7
Avg yds Per Game 403.0 244.1
Average Per Play 6.0 4.0

SCORE BY QUARTERS 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
-------------------- --- --- --- --- ---
2004 AU............. 129 95 116 77 - 417
Opponents........... 19 20 38 70 - 147

Score by quarters 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total
Alabama 86 162 80 121 449
Opponents 43 43 46 32 164

The Score by Quarters tells the tale. AU in '04 cruised to their victories & was in command in the 4th Quarter (except LSU early in season); whereas, AL was still needing to score points in 4Q. I watched both teams and that's a true statement. Also, Bama struggled against UT & AU. They would've lost to AU if their QB didn't have 2 turnovers (one of them totally unforced where receiver was wide open but he overthrew, another he was careless by holding the ball in one hand & fumbled)

What is so great about 03 LSU?

Losing a game? Winning the title in your own backyard? Not having a heisman winner? beating a down Alabama?

That is pure speculation. Every one has their own opinions. This poll is about that specific year and what that team accomplished on the field. 95 Nebraska would kill 09 Bama but we accomplished more than they did and we had a great SOS.

For 09? You didn't win the title.

Bottom line, there have been only 2 14-0 BCS champs in BCS history, and Bama is one of them. We had the Heisman trophy winner and the most AP all americans ever assembled on one team. Played the #2 ranked schedule and beat the last 3 BCS champs on the way to Pasadena, and unlike LSU, didn't have the luxury of playing in our own backyard against the SEC's whipping boy.

There is absolutely no justification for placing non-undefeated teams ahead of Bama, other than complete and total blind homerism.

Umm, did the the last 3 BCS champs' bring back those players to play Bama in '09??? Everyone knew the Gators weren't the same team as '08 after Arkansas "beat" them at Gainesville.

P.S. why did u ignore my post of the '04 AU stats vs. '09 AL stats?

How can those stats be relevant when AU played the 60th ranked schedule and Bama played the 2nd ranked schedule?

??

I would flip 1st and 3rd in the SEC rankings. Other than that I could live with that list.
