Florida's Jeff Driskel, a redshirt junior, and LSU's Anthony Jennings, a true sophomore, have been too inconsistent to start the year to not try some new things at quarterback. That means true freshmen Treon Harris (Florida) and Brandon Harris (LSU) need more quality reps in practice and games.

Against good defenses, Florida and LSU watched their offenses back-peddle on Saturday because of nonexistent passing games. It might be good for both schools to ease their freshmen quarterbacks onto the field a little bit more going forward because there are obvious issues under center.

Hard to disagree. Both teams NEED to if they want any shot of getting to Atlanta.

It's time for both to move on...Jennings just sucks arse...Driskel is still living on his crootin' stars...there is no other explanation. They need to get their future reps...and they cannot possibly play worse in the present either.

UT fans clamored for this last year and got what we wanted, I will never do this again.

If we play Treon we may as well fire Boom too.

I'm down with this but like I said on our board: We had this same Black Jesus thing with Tyler Murphy and he did just as badly as Driskel did.

We'll see how Les handles the situation, however; we all probably know how this will go...

So you're just gonna ignore him getting hurt against LSU?

The OLine got him killed in that game and he was never the same.

Agreed although I don't know enough about UF's frosh QB - he any good?

I think LSU faithful saw the writing on the wall after our bowl game (Iowa) that Jennings probably wasn't going to be our guy - despite what the coaches wanted to believe. Either way, hopefully both UF and LSU bounce back

"Well, we had a want to get him some more time on the field, but we couldn't find the right moment to allow him to compete. Its something we will work on moving forward."

Jeff isn't good at much of anything. I can see it with my own eyes. Blitz you ask Jeff...Jeff says, "what's a blitz". I say, "Jeff, it's that CB or S that left his coverage responsibility and is now looking to kill you". Jeff says, "Oh, that guy. What about him again"?

Driskel didn't get hurt?

The Oline never broke during his tenure?

How quickly we've forgotten that Driskel was sacked 36 fricking times in 2012.

UF will be garbage because they employ a garbage coaching staff. QB won't matter.

LSU's freshman looked good on Saturday. I think he could be a major boon to their offense.

They pass blocked pretty well against Bama so there's that.

Jeff misses more wide open receivers than any QB I've seen too. He just doesn't have "it". I've been on his side and wanted to believe. I just cannot see him taking us to the SECCG any longer. It's just not possible. I'd love to be wrong though.

That article concedes that they aren't getting there this year and need to go ahead and prepare for the future.

Well...it's at least true for us and LSU isn't in control of their own SECCG destiny as of now.

The only QB stat Les cares about is INTs; protect the ball and you'll be in his good graces, even if you don't produce any positive offense.

LSU - Florida looks to be the biggest cripple fight of the year.
