2. Clemson
3. Notre Dame
4. Ohio St
5. Georgia
6. Oklahoma

It's a resume metric only. A "who have you beaten and lost to" not a "how good a team are you" metric like SP+.

Hard to go undefeated no matter the schedule - but they're still behind UGA and are the last ranked undefeated team

UCF's top to bottom schedule wasn't as good as Clemson's.

It’s harder to go 9–1 with Georgia’s schedule than to go 11–0 with Clemson’s

How bad does scheduling an FCS team hurt LSU in this ranking? I know in a lot of the SoS calculations it’s a pretty huge hit

ETA: actually I’m sure the metrics for this are unknown since it’s an ESPN stat

Which is why they are #3 and Clemson #4

I'm not entirely sure - I think they are basically all ranked #136 or whatever the first spot after the last FBS team is. So probably about like playing UMass.

It's not like basketball where playing #330 is 150 spots lower than a bad #180....know what I mean?

Ohio State St no 2 is a joke. Who have they played really? Nobody this far. Penn State is going to be their signature win lol. LSU has played how many ranked and too 10 teams at the time we played them? Alot. Ohio State doesnt have the 2nd best schedule, that's a biased joke.

They've beaten 2 top 20 teams and haven't lost

Rankings at the time of the game doesn't matter at all

TLDR : It's a ranking of teams by resume

Uh, I disagree big-time. It wouldn't be hard for LSU to go undefeated playing Clemsons schedule at all. On the other hand, if Clemson had to play LSUs schedule, I believe they would have lost a game by now. Hell, fricking UNC (the same UNC team that South Carolina should have beaten) gave Clemson all they could handle and had their chances to win that game late. So, hell no, it isn't difficult to go undefeated playing Clemsons powder puff schedule vs who LSU has had to play, and still has to play. What a joke. Clemson and the acc are not comparable to the sec, or even the big 10 for that matter. They're one of the weakest power 5 conferences. Laughable.
