I hate to think this way, looking backward instead of forward, but college football used to be more fun.

That’s the whole point. Not every game has to be a mammoth, ESPN hype machine type game. JPS/Raycom is a throwback to the days when college football was more regional, and fans didn’t want to quit because the team had a couple of losses and fell out of national title contention. The pre-Disneyfication days of SEC football.

Money and corporate influence have destroyed the college gameday experience. It has helped to wipe out everything that made college football unique.
