Come on. I know he hasn't coached in college yet, but he's a Hall of Fame coach.

He wouldn’t even be top 5 on my list if I’m Greg Byrne and looking for a coach, maybe not even top 10.

Well given that Byrne is known to sound like an idiot on X when he talks about his team not making the playoff and OOC scheduling when he schedules frickING WISCONSIN, not really the beacon of sound judgment

This is news to both my neighbor and I.

Can I pick which neighbor it is? I'd rather the ones to my right than to my left.

Yeah, a guy that is widely considered either the best AD in the country, or certainly on the short list of best ADs in the country struggles with sound judgment. Good call.

LSU fans trying to rag on Bama’s athletic department leadership might actually be even more idiotic than the ones making fun of a coach that beat them 42-13, at night, in Baton Rouge. There are decent LSU posters on this board, but there sure are a lot of LSU Stephens as well.

You think DeBust will be in Tuscaloosa in 3 years? Lolololoool

You think Big Game Brian is going to run DeBoer out of town? Lol…as long as BK is at LSU, DeBoer will be at Bama with a propped up W/L record.

I honestly think DeBoer is pretty soft and made a bunch of dumb mistakes. He needs certain types of intense coordinators to make it work. But he’s no Brian Kelly, thank goodness!!

That's for sure, BK has a better win percentage with less talent.

LSU hired a fraud.
Yep. He isn't the guy. He's an excuse machine who can't win big games consistently.

Not only did Kelly lose most games against evenly matched or better teams, he lost a lot very convincingly by 2 or more touchdowns.

A loss is a loss.

What's worse: a blowout loss to a historically great team like one of the Bama or Clemson teams under Kelly or a close loss to the likes of Marshall and Northern Illinois under Freeman?

Think you missed the troll memo. LSU posters aren’t allowed to be reasonable and intelligent on tRant.

lol…imagine being so obtuse that you use 1 season of coach’s career (a transition year at that with the worst Bama QB in a decade) to define a coach’s entire coaching ability, ignoring all past successes or failures.

While at the same time including another coach’s record for comparison that started a Heisman trophy winning QB for 67% of the seasons played and he still was only 0.033 better, including a 42-13 embarrassing loss at home. Imagine being this “limited” in logical thinking!!

Nobody put a gun to his head and made him make that stupid X post, he got community noted

Also, who considers him to be the best AD?

Bama fans will constantly crow about one game where DeBoer beat Kelly but it "isn't fair" to use DeBoer's entire first season.

Such hypocrisy.

Daniels was fairly average in his first season, definitely not a Heisman winner, or even Heisman finalist.

This guy, however, was a Heisman favorite when DeBoer was hired.

Still had no business beating Georgia even with Beck being out. Y'all sent 7 players to the NFL in the first 3 rounds and basically acted as kingmaker for Freeman, that's on Smart.
