I'm a Bama fan so I don't mind, but it is kinda lame we are 4 weeks into the season and only 3 teams are still in contention

This is CFB in the Playoff era. There only about 4 or 5 teams with the talent to make the playoffs. That just the way it is now. The talent gap between UGA, Bama, Clemson, and Ohio State and the other teams is chasmic. The pareto distribution.

My takeaway:

So much for Clemson’s pathetically easy path in the ACC...looks like the SEC isn’t much of a challenge either. Just saying.

ETA: Bama’s got an 82% chance to make the CFP vs Clemson’s 86%...not a lot of difference given all the squawking about the ACC on this site.

Bama will have to play in the SECCG against a team with a pulse though. Either UGA again or UF. Clemson will basically just clobber another bad to average ACC team like they do every year in the ACCCG.

Please...

Clemson will have to beat #3 NotreDame On the road and then again in the ACC Championship to make the CFP...Bama could lose the SEC Championship game to UGA and still backdoor their way into the CFP.

You know it,I know it, the entire world knows it.

The same ND team that beat L’ville 12-7 this past week. C’mon man ND will be lucky to even stay on the field with Clemson during warm ups. No danger in ND beating Clemson once much less twice in the same year. I doubt they could do that if you gave them a whole decade.

I like that you’re saying that as a Hog fan and not a State fan.

What about OSU working there way in? I think they will have a decent chance, along with not playing too many games.

Every team has an off week (e.g. Bama’s “struggle win” vs Ole Miss). Say what you will about ND...they will be a tough out at home in November as UGA can attest.
