According to the almighty Tom Luginbill, LSU has too many unknowns and SC has an easier schedule (don’t know why that matters).

How is LSU overrated when pretty much everyone picks us to go 7-5 at the best and we are sitting outside every top 25 or right at 25

7-5 teams typically aren't even close to the top 24.
The bottom of the poll at the end of the year tends to be 8-4 type teams.
