To be fair, I don't think Red McCombs ever graduated from tu, much like the rest of their fan base.

So they were 6-6 in the regular season, got it. Crazy considering their proximity to all them big Texas cities where recruits instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.

From what little I can tell (recognizing Wikipedia is not the greatest of sources) McCombs attended there but did not graduate:

McCombs lost all credibility as a rational thinker when he made the comment in the clip regarding aggy Rick Perry becoming President. No one individual has embarrassed the state more than this imbecile.

He called him an alumnus. Which you would need to graduate to be called. Nitpicking, but a funny fact that their business school is named after someone that never got a diploma from them.

technically you don't have to graduate to be called an alum (just a former student) - I know that's not the way the word is regularly used though

Oh ok. I didn't see that part. Carry on

Eh, I don't see that as a big deal, but it's JMO. He obviously did something worthwhile for the University to have a school named after him/her.

My bad. I'm not used to talking about them at all. I will try to remember that, promise.

I would be more concerned with the word, 'school' not being representative of the product, more so than the Walton name.

You don't have to live in a swamp you live in a barren wasteland of cow pies and tea sippers, must suck, I know. I live in Texas.
P.S. Hill country is gorgeous especially during wildflower season.

No one is more anti-A&M series than Deloss, but you'd be kidding yourself if you didn't think a sizeable portion of donars at texas don't want it to continue in the near future.

Everyone here is basing their opinions on what they see on message boards (pretty much 100% anti-A&M). The thing is, most of those people aren't influential in any way to the actual decisions that are made.

I'd be willing to bet that around half, if not more, of texas alums that are 50 and up want the series to continue.

Maybe to Texans, but to the rest of the free world, Texas's most embarrassing public figure is, hands down, Rick Perry, aka BP oil spill was an act of gawd guy.
