I think the difference is that Auburn was making up for Nix’s lack of experience. He had been in some tight spots, but he hadn’t seen a defense like that as a starter.

Joe is in a very different situation, and I don’t expect him to be the reason LSU loses (should such a thing happen). Our defense needs to step up and quiet the doubters.

Is it Saturday yet?

I’ve been told all week that Florida’s defense is overrated

I'd say LSU's O is more likely to be overrated than UF's D. But still, like LSU by about the spread because LSU's D is likely much closer to UF's D, than UF's O is to LSU's O (overrated or not).

You’d say LSU’s offense is more likely to be overrated than Fla’s defense? Really? Please return after the game to face such stupidity, don’t go hide in your doghouse.

Well yes and no. LSU and UF have tough enough schedules to recover from a loss. UF can lose to LSU and if they win out, they are certainly in the playoffs. Same with LSU.

Both have to beat the favorite in the division, no matter if they win or lose today. So a cross division match up won't determine the season, only booster the chances.
