TG is blameless if he did this? He's the only one that broke any rules if he did it.
No Gurley isn't blameless and his punishment is having to miss playing time. Neither did the dealer break any laws. However, if his name were to be leaked to the media I would not shed a single tear and I if that makes me petty so be it

I thought we suspended him, not NCAA
Apparently you don't understand how this works.
The University suspends the player, they then ask the NCAA to reinstate the player. Same thing happened with Manziel and Cam Newton

How is it sleazy? He offered Gurley money to sign some shite. He wins, gurley wins. Mutually beneficial situation with no loser and no party coerced into the actions.

Georgia star tailback Todd Gurley is expected to miss two to three games, a source tells FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman, after the school announced its Heisman hopeful has been suspended indefinitely as he is investigated for an alleged violation of NCAA rules.

The NCAA requires schools to declare players ineligible if they discover possible rules violations. They can apply for the player's reinstatement after the investigation is completed, which happened in the past with stars such as Cam Newton and Johnny Manziel.

sounds like you're advocating for someone else to break the law.

Well, I mean, I guess so. One broke NCAA rules and one didn't. Neither committed a crime.
It has nothing to do with committing a crime. It's not a crime to mistreat a waitress. But if you do it you're still a shitty person. It's not a crime to pay a kid for his autograph knowing it could get him in trouble and then ratting him out when the deal doesn't go how you expected. Still shitty.

A person familiar with the NCAA investigation of the possible violations by Georgia running back Todd Gurley told the AJC on Friday that it’s a “significant” case of the sale of memorabilia and that Gurley is unlikely to be cleared to return to the field this season. Unlike the case involving Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M, the source says, there is evidence that wasn’t available in the Manziel case that implicates Gurley.
