What the hell does FrontRow25 stand for? Something to do with ya'lls Nat'l Title seats?

I have the full low down. Call me later for details. Not for the gumps.

Alright. I'm about to head to the house and take care of the little girl for a bit. Call ya after we put her to bed.

quote:
Police officers witnessed Auburn running back Eric Smith strike Auburn student Decari Jenkins in the back of the head, rendering him unconscious outside of a hotel near campus last week, according to a police document obtained by The Birmingham News on Monday.
quote:
The police report says officers witnessed Smith strike Jenkins, causing Jenkins ``to fall face forward onto the asphalt. Jenkins suffered a cut and severe swelling around his eye and was knocked unconscious.''
Jenkins said in his complaint that he was at a party at the Lexington Hotel and was struck from behind ``and became disoriented.'' He said he went outside and ``was struck again.'' He said he was struck a third time as he moved to his car. Jenkins' complaint does not identify Smith by name.
I won't link the other article, since you don't feel it's accurate, since it was what was reported as a civil suit was filed, even though every bit of it also complies with the above.
quote:
Smith has missed all three practices since the incident, and coach Gene Chizik said Smith will have ``paid a price'' before he will be allowed to wear an Auburn uniform again.
quote:
Chizik suspended Smith for the season opener against Louisiana Tech.
"I said that if you see Eric Smith back in an Auburn uniform, you'll know that he did the things that we needed him to do to become a better Auburn man," Chizik said before Auburn's second game. "You're going to see him in a uniform this week. He's done what we asked him to do, and we're going to move on."
That Chiz. He's tough as nails.

So nothing shows he kicked him in the back of the head while unconscious. Just that police saw the end of a fight where Smith sucker punched him in the back of the head, knocking the guy out.
Really, the actual facts seem bad enough there is no need to embellish. IYAM.

And here is Saban after Upshaw beat on a female....
Here is Saban's full statement ...
"This is as fine a young man as we have in the program. He's really a great person, really works hard academically. We couldn't ask anybody to be a better representative of the organization than he is. He really overachieves as a football player, and has done a really good job for us and our organization.
"I think he was put in a little bit of an uncompromising position, and he didn't handle it very well. He obviously made a mistake in how he handled the situation. I think that nobody feels worse about it than he does. We'll obviously handle this internally. I've discussed it with him. He knows what his punishment is. He knows what his penalty is. He knows what he's going to have to do.
"He's never had any other issues or any problems academically, socially or as a football player, so he's not going to be suspended over this. He is on behavioral probation, and he does have things to do internally in the program to learn from the mistake that he made. And hopefully our entire team can learn something from the mistake that he made."
Apparently a player who beats on a female is "as fine a young man as we have in the program." Nice program....
Behavioral probation

You obviously haven't been keeping up with the mullets lately. Go check out bamamag. That party that some bar had a few weeks ago that some were saying was geared towards recruits? It's now been embellished to a full sledged orgy over there.

The part I didn't post, I'm not sure if it was in the police report. However, the guy who was beaten had his lawyer on a radio program and the host and the lawyer both said that surveillance cameras showed that is what happened. The civil suit hasn't gone to trial yet, so it's not been released to the public just yet. The suit also alleges other Auburn football players took part in attacking another guy before all this occurred.

The suit is wrong. ES was provoked by this guy and the guy got his arse kicked. I could really care less.
Beating on a female is another story.

If you want to call chasing a guy down from 30 feet and sucker punching him, the end to a fight, then ok, yeah.

You mean the badly beaten girl from this booking photo?
Is there anything AU fans don't lie about?

Right. The oregon player was wrong too, he didn't get kicked from behind either.

E. Smith got his nose bloodied. And waited until the guy was leaving and it was over with to attack him from behind. Plead guilty to it. But, hey.. he missed the La Tech game. Nothing says tough like that.

My point is, why do you feel the need to embellish, when the supportable facts are enough to make your point?
I'm just trying to help you make better arguments. This education has been free. You should take advantage of it.

I am aware of that. You seem to be quite dismissive that witnesses who saw the tape, said that is what happened. Meaning not his lawyer or him.

It's hard to provide a link to what I heard on the radio. On the otherhand, why you're defending in any way how the Eric Smith case and punishment was handled is beyond me. It took being embarrassed as fans on a national stage before many of your fans finally admitted he's a thug. And while what he did was thuggish, a personal foul is nowhere near as bad as what he did a couple of years ago. yet you are coming across as wanting to defend him and Chiz's actions with it.

quote:Not doing that at all. I don't know enough about the incident or Smith's punishment to say one way or the other. If Smith merely got into and won a bar fight between college kids, the punishment may have been sufficient. If he was as egregious as you want to believe, then it wasn't.

It's not like he was some star player we couldn't do without that got special treatment.
Now it appears he has effed up his second chance. I am not making any apologies for him. I have no doubt he earned his dismissal.
All I have done in this thread is try to find out what he did this time and help you make more effective arguments.

Glad he's gone, honestly. Dude's a thug.
