You guys were also trying to sell us that John L Smith was going to have Arky compete for a NC before this season with all of your alleged talent.
One of my favorite Arkansas memories. Kniles Davis was going to have a Heisman year, the OC's last name was Petrino so they weren't going to skip a beat and the new DC was going to have it all turned around.

Actually out of the first 7 years, Saban only had one year in the SEC, the rest was B10, Miles had 3 in the SEC. Spurrier had 4 years. So not that much unlike the others.

Ah sorry didn't realized you meant the first 7 years of their career. I honestly think it could be a very good hire, but I guess time will tell. Either way I love that y'all poached a coach from the B1G

they may have had the easiest schedule in history in '06 and lost to their toughest opponent.

'07 lost to Penn St., OSU, and UT. beat the cupcakes
'08 lost to UM, OSU, Penn St, FL State. beat the cupcakes. went to OT with Cal Poly
'09 lost to OSU and Iowa. beat the cupcakes but finally won a bowl
'10 good year with some good wins. lost bowl again
'11 decent season. lost bowl again
'12 lost to every decent team on their schedule not named Nebraska. finished 6th in the Big10, 3rd in division

look at beliemas record against Ohio St, Michigan, Michigan St and Penn St. He is under .500.

He got most of his wins against iowa, norwestern, purdue, minnesota, indiana and Illinois.

Not so many cupcakes in the SEC

FWIW.... I think their success was because of Paul Chryst and perhaps more importantly, Bob Bostad. Without them, Wisconsin is a very different program and I think you saw that this year. I see a lot of bragging about a Big Ten title and Rose Bowl and all that and Wisky should certainly be proud of that but lets face it, without NCAA sanctions, Wisky isn't even sniffing the CCG much less the Rose Bowl. Without those sanctions, Wisky has the 7th best record in the Big Ten and is going to a bowl game few care about.

Laboratory?

They got piles of 'em in Arkansas, they generally pull them right off the top, but sometimes they take them from the bottom...

That's classified. It's a matter of national security.

I'll be concerned about my obsession with your obsession when my obsession leads me to breaking out photoshop instead of paint to ridicule your obsession, son.

Hard to look up on my phone, but at a glance (I may be off a couple games) in Saban's time at MSU, he was 13-4-1 against those same teams, and 10-12 against the rest, so how is that a valid stat?

It's valid because of the difference in athletes that Saban gets versus what Arky gets/will get.

Aside from the fact that Michigan State was not in good shape when Saban took over and Wisconsin was when BB did? Aside from the fact that Michigan State is a long way from being the primary program in its own state? Aside from comparing apples to Goodyear tires?

All we have to go on at this point is their time in the B10, and Bielema had a better showing in his seven seasons in the B10 than Saban did. I don't think he's a better coach, but at this point in his career, he's ahead of where Saban was at, according to their records.
