They were under sanctions those years at MSU. And that was his first year at Bama, not deep into his tenure.

He’s not a bad coach at all. Would love to have him. Still very puzzling he could have a losing season with the type of talent that had him as a preseason #3 team. He has recruited insanely well and has no business ever losing that many games in a season. It’s just one season though so he can afford it. Another one like that though and he has lost his mojo. Going to be interesting.

FSU was basically down to their 4th string QB after Frenchy got hurt. Still way too much talent to lose 6 games though.

LSU finds ways to win with Miles and Orgeron and QBs who are extremely limited. Look how atrocious Harris was transferring to UNC.. Jimbo should find ways to beat Boston College.

He also got absolutely annihilosted by Louisville the season before. Again, a team that O had no trouble dismantling.. that’s more puzzling because Fisher had his QB then..

Yet somehow Jimbo keeps getting a pass.. it’s like his teams just give up when they are down.. he is a very good coach, but really some puzzling losses and even blowouts the last couple of seasons.

Y'all sure were singing a different tune about Fisher around this time last year.

Bear Bryant went 6-5 in 1969, his 12th year at Alabama. Not 5-6, but pretty close. It happens, man.

And the year before that. LSU is just falling apart at the thought of A&M getting a coach that turned them down.

Seems obvious that Eaux is a better coach, so why are you guys falling apart about Fisher going to A&M?

I don't know that "scared" is the best way to describe what I am reading in this thread. "Jilted" is the better word

Elite programs don't go into meltdown when a rival hires a coach that they tried to hire for two years and couldn't.
But no one says L7U is an elite program in 2017.

OMG! Can you 7SU fans not let it go!?!

If he’s so bad, then why did almost all of you brag about how dominant 7SU was going to be when you hired him to replace Miles?!

Even more so, why did almost all of you melt and threaten to kill your AD for screwing up the deal to get him?!

I don’t know whether to laugh at you or be embarrassed for you.

He’ll do one of three things. Win, be mediocre, or lose. aTm made the hire. They can afford it.

Quit your whistling by the graveyard! It’s becoming embarrassing.

This is about college coaches today. Also Bellicheck has never had a losing record with the Patriots.

Dan Mullen was roasted for losing to Ole Miss with a freshman quarterback after Fitzgerald got hurt.
Jimbo's quarterback went down in the first game and he never got better.
Maybe the 7.5 mil should read 7-5 instead.
