I just did,, maybe you can't read?

Being the only division one program in the state plus an influx of cash that seems large on a Mizzou scale?

Or did I miss something? Because those aren't good reasons.

I don't think anyone else really is, right now. What they have going is head-and-shoulders above anyone else. LSU and Ole Miss are next closest, but neither can get over that hump.

He's basically saying Mizzou is good now because of it's location between two major cities, it's SEC ties, money from boosters, money from the SEC, and some good defensive recruits Pinkel has had lately.

I disagree with most of it, I think Pinkel hit his peak by making it to conference championship games, he's been out coached drastically in all 4 of the games. With that said, we weren't sniffing 10 wins, let alone CGs in the 80's and 90's. What Pinkel has built at Mizzou deserves tons of praise. He knows as well as anyone that Mizzou is merely good right now, not great. His retirement speech basically admitted that he hasn't gotten the program high enough, and after 15 years of trying, I don't think he was going to.

Maybe you missed the part where I pointed out the reason Mizzou has had success in the SEC, you know the DLINE ZOU?

And where a lot of those players have come from?

I'm doubting you know the difference between offense and defense at this point.

he's going to be our new DC, or somebody elses new DC, one or the other.

I sure hope whoever is hired as HC convinces Kul to remain on staff. He's key (in my opinion)

I think it was his work w/ Dom Hamilton who was a huge factor in Mizzou's arguably obviously best win ever in the Pinkel era (OU '10) was when it was first obvious that Kul was the real deal.

He's been doing it at a high level ever since, and anyone w/ a brain can figure out that w/out his coaching MU doesn't have any trips to ATL.

I'd think Odoms VERY FIRST move as a HC/MU would be to instantly promote Kul to DC.

Talk about the biggest no brainer in the history of man,...,.

Gary Pinkel's ace talent scouting efforts I assume. Because your DL's play has outperformed the 247 talent level for years.

Our AD hired Sumlin and Herman (ie. Houston). He was brought to Mizzou to guide the football program into the future. What makes you think he'll make a poor hire when all he's done in the past is make homerun hires?

Also, do you not realize that Odom is our current DC and is also a former Mizzou player who wants to one day be head coach at Mizzou?

Therefore, explain why you think my statement "Mizzou will hire either Odom, Herman, Fuente, or Patterson" is so ridiculous...

I'm waiting....
