Dang .... just read this and had no idea about MSU.
I guess MSU had QB injury problems as well.
quote:
Trying to return from an upper-body injury suffered the week before, MSU quarterback Tommy Stevens completed just seven of 15 passes for 100 yards with two interceptions. His backup, true freshman Garrett Shrader, who sports an impressive beard, managed just four completions out of 12 attempts as the Bulldogs dropped to 2-1.
I guess MSU had QB injury problems as well.

I'm just happy we have good back ups. Was a point in time we had dog shite back there

Kinda like Tennessee's situation, an experienced guy starting ahead of two freshmen

Georgia and Bama would be effected the most because they have good/great QBs and high expectations. But they also have the talent to help a new QB .

Bentley - SC
Wilson - KY
Franks- UF
I think all three teams could be better off without their chosen QBs and ging with their backups. The one I have a qustion about is Kentucky, though. Wilson seemed fine. The backup seems okay.
Bentley was a solid QB, but Hilinski looks like he could develop into a much better QB.
Franks was awful. Florida caught a break with his injury. Hate it for Franks, but he was not a good match for Florida's offense.

I think SC and UF backups could be upgrades.
UK QB is not.
Anyone who watched the whole game would say otherwise. Go back and read the game thread. He was impressive for most of the game and made several throws with relative ease that weren’t options with Wilson.

All of the backups are better.
I get it, that's usually the case except when you get QBs who are just superior.
But coaches "usually" know more than the fans.
Sometimes coaches just have no other options for whatever reasons.
I'm wondering which teams, this year, have no other options.

Why was Bentley's back up not playing to start the season?

I didn’t watch UF-UK until the end, but if that guy Kentucky had is considered a “capable backup” then I hate to see what they had before. I’m sorry but that guy was a statue that couldn’t throw the ball 20 yards

Urban myth.
You don't really believe that, do you?
Surely you do not believe Muschamp would risk his job over some perceived non existent loyalty to Bobby, do you?
