I agree. A&M isn't "southern", more precisely, it isn't Dixie. It is very much Texan, and I am damn proud of that. I would consider it closer to Florida, in that extreme wealth in relation to the Dixie South. I would put it this way, in the South, bbq is all about pork. In Texas, it is about beef. But at least we have bbq unlike you queer fricks in Missouri.
And to set the record straight, the Lone Star State is better than every other state you frickers live in, and it ain't even close.

Classic example of why the rest of the US hates texans. And barbecue smack, really? Maybe YOU think your barbecue is better, but KC isn't one of the 2/3 barbecue capitals of the world for nothing (looking at you too Memphis). I'll take BBQ from KC over Texan bullshite any day.

I don;t understand why people continue to say things like XXXXXX team would be better than A&M or Mizzou.

And I've very aware of East Texas. And that makes up a minority percentage of the Texas A&M student body and you know it. You are all Texans. Your students come from Dallas, San Anton, Houston, West Texas, South Texas, etc. The vast majority come from parts of Texas that are NOT at all any similar to this nebulous "southern culture" mystique on here. I've been to College Station many a time. To argue that it is more like Athens, GA or Lexington, KY or Oxford, MS than is Columbia, MO is a very, very, very tough sell. Personally I'd call it BS.
And you have more fans coming to see a crappier product and you are proud of that? Sounds like the definition of insanity to me. Our bad for not getting jazzed about underachieving Texas Bowl seasons like you do.
Look, the current SEC fanbases give you a free pass because you guys give them the fertile Texas recruiting territory, a ton of television sets and new revenue, an easy win every year for the SEC West. That's why you get your pass. But I have lived in Nashville, I've lived in Texas and I've lived in Missouri, and I've seen it all with my own eyes and nobody can pass Texas off as being more "southern culture" oriented to me than Missouri. No way. It's all BS on this board and the definition of "Southern culture" is constantly shifted here to meet their agendas of what they think they want. And they want your recruits and your money.
U mad that A&M pulls its weight more than little ol' Mizery?
I've lived in Columbus GA, been to Columbia MO, and been all over Texas. The Sabine river doesn't mean as much as you think it means.
And aside from pointing out all the reasons why A&M was wanted and Miz was not, I'm not sure what your post accomplished.
We've been dreaming of the SEC since 1991; y'all just came up with the idea last year.
