Well, Missouri has been vastly superior since joining the conference

A very temporary situation - anyone who knows the history of college football knows that it goes in cycles, and the top teams - even Alabama - have down cycles. We'll be back soon, but where will Mizzou be? They're getting their jabs in while they can.

But UT isn't Alabama...or even Auburn for that matter.

True, but they are the superior program right now and pretending otherwise is dumb.

Well, by studying the history of college football we learned that Tenn has never, not once, ever beaten Mizzou at football.

But you are correct that it does go in cycles, so maybe at some point, Tenn will luck out and win a game. Mizzou will probably have some bad cycles where they lower to a level where Tenn can win a game. Hell, it almost happened in 2012 (Mizzou's worst team in many years).

Keep your chin up and try to remember... its just a game.

UT went 12 years in the series before they beat Vanderbilt...once the trend changed, it flipped big time.

I would add that 2012 was UT's worst defense in school history...

It is also worth note to say that UT has had 3 consecutive losing seasons once over the last century (2011-2013). So, you caught UT at the lowest cycle since William Howard Taft was in office. Congratulations.

Mizzou has never lost to Tennessee. Why wouldn't we mock Tennessee?

If UT loses to UF again, they will blame the refs

I remember that statement back in 2008.

Or back as in like Nebraska is back?

"Brick by Brick...."

"We might have sucked this year, but if ya'll can't see that the program is heading in the right direction, you're an idiot....."

"Dooley is still fricking us...."

"Lane Kiffin set the program back and we're just now recovering...."

"I know we said Dobbs would win the Heisman, but he's still young and growing. Next year he's going to be an absolute force...."

just brought in 30 more recruits for this season. Sorry for bringing facts to the discussion

You can't keep using this when you bring in 30 every year and keep dropping players.

Mizzou's been vastly superior to Tennessee for the last eight seasons.

Tennessee 2007 season to present:

One ten+ win season
One eight+ win season
Four seasons with losing records
One season with a winning conference record
Two seasons with a .500 conference record or better

Mizzou 2007 season to present
Five ten+ win seasons
Seven seasons with eight wins or more
Six seasons with a winning conference record
Seven seasons with a .500 conference record or better
One losing season
One season with a conference record below .500.

Congratulations on besting UT's worst run over the last century.

BTW...football did't start in 2007. Everyone knows that it started in 1990 (at least, that's what my Florida friends told me).

I'm just pointing out that Mizzou has been way better than Tennessee for a good chunk of time. Mizzou's consistently been a very good team and the Vols have been dog shite for the last eight seasons. That's all I'm saying. People should be informed.

Noted....any reason you went with 8 years? Seems kind of arbitrary.

Remember that one time Tennessee had a coach that had six division titles, two conference titles, a national title, and nine seasons with 10 or more wins?

Since then, they've employed Lane Kiffin, Derek Dooley, and Butch Jones. None of them have been able to crack that elusive "8 win season" barrier
